In our town, this open market is held only twice a week on Saturday and Tuesday. These two days are known as market days, and during this time the market takes place in an open space.

This market is located just 5–7 minutes away from my home, which is the main reason I chose it for this contest. Usually, this market is set up in a place called Parbatipur Old Market. You can find almost everything here, from fresh food items to daily necessities.

Because it is so close to my home, I found it very convenient. Today, I bought a few items from a roadside vegetable stall, and I am sharing my experience with you through this post.

Since today was a market day, many different types of shops were set up. There were stalls for vegetables, fish, chicken, eggs, and many other fresh items.

I chose a vegetable shop and bought some vegetables for my home. Today, I mainly bought tomatoes. Tomatoes are very healthy and good for our body. I also enjoy eating tomato salad, which is another reason I bought them.

The price of tomatoes was 20 BDT per kilogram, and in STEEM it is 2.86. Nowadays, the prices of many items are quite high, so I only bought what I really needed.

When buying from a local vegetable market, bargaining is very common. Sometimes, there are disagreements between buyers and sellers about prices, and this can make it difficult to buy the product.

There are some dishonest sellers who suddenly increase prices, which leaves buyers with no choice but to bargain. Also, some shops increase the price of fresh-looking vegetables without any clear reason.

However, not all sellers are like this. Many sellers are honest and try to maintain good relationships with customers. They offer fair prices and sell fresh, good-quality vegetables.

As a buyer, when we spend money, we expect fresh and healthy products. That is why product quality is very important.

Overall, my experience of buying vegetables from the market today was good. Below is a price list of some vegetables available in the shop.

In many places, open markets can create traffic problems. But this market is not very crowded.

The market is set up in a specific open area beside the main road. Vehicles move normally on the main road, and only people who come to shop enter the market area. Because of this, the market does not create much traffic, and everything feels quite organized.

✓ What is your advice to the street or open market sellers to improve business performance?

I would like to share some personal suggestions for sellers to improve their business performance.

First, cleanliness is very important. Sellers should always keep their shops clean. If a shop is dirty, customers may avoid it, even if the products are good.

Second, the products should be arranged nicely. A well-organized shop can easily attract customers from a distance.

Third, good behavior matters a lot. If sellers treat customers politely and talk with a smile, it helps build trust and increases sales.

If sellers follow these simple steps, their business performance and sales will definitely improve.
