Steemit Challenge Season 31 Week 06 - Cottage craft shop

Assalamu Alaikum

I am posting about a cottage industry shop. This shop was originally a mobile one. These were small children's swings made of bamboo. I saw these swings at Santahar station. They were originally purchased from the north and brought by train. All these products were brought to a market in Santahar.

The owner of this shop was named Sajeeb. I spoke to him. He has been in the business of selling children's swings for a long time. He runs a shop in Santahar town. He goes around selling his products in different markets. He has been doing this business for 10 years. This business is very profitable, he told me. He learned this business from his father. His entire family is involved in this business. They collect these swings from the northern region.

The pictures I shared. These are not from any store. However, they were kept on the Santarhar platform for a short time. In this short time, many buyers came and crowded there to buy the swings. Many people bargained. I saw two people there selling these swings. They brought the swings by train to Santahar. They went to the market and sold these swings.

There was no light fan in this shop. These shops can be seen under the open sky.

This was basically a shop selling swings made of bamboo. There were small and large bamboo swings of different prices. These swings were priced between 500-2000 tk. All the products had to be bought in cash here. They did not have a digital system. I did not buy any goods from this shop. Because I was going to Natore by train. I got down at Santahar station. Then I saw this shop selling swings made of bamboo. I bargained for some products. But I did not buy anything.

I have seen many products made of bamboo before. Which are sold in our northern districts. But this is the first time I have seen swings for small children made of bamboo being sold somewhere. These swings were very strong. These swings can be used by children of 1-10 years. These shops are more commonly seen in rural markets. These shops are also seen in various fairs. Cottage industry shops are the most noticeable in our Bangladesh.

First of all, thank you for inviting me to this contest. I’ve already joined and really enjoyed reading your post. In this modern, busy life, visiting traditional handicraft and cottage industry shops feels truly refreshing. You beautifully highlighted the history of the shop, the sincerity of the entrepreneur, and the story behind these handmade products.

Eco-friendly clay and bamboo-rattan items are still keeping our rural tradition alive, which is truly admirable. Supporting local craftsmen and promoting such initiatives is very important nowadays. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. Adding markdown codes to your post could make it even more attractive.
Best wishes for the contest.😊
