It is my pleasure to participate in this contest of the Season 28 Engagement Challenge organized in this community so that we can learn more about some interesting horror movies.

Watch a movie in a genre you usually avoid.
If you hate horror, try a quiet Place. If you avoid romance, its about Time you try it.

The name of the movie I watched that is based on a horror film is 'My Daughter is a Zombie.' Lee Jeung-hwan is a single father who tries as much as possible to raise his daughter Lee Soo-A. His daughter is very passionate about her dream of becoming a perfect dancer in the world.

Her dream was shattered because this infection or virus had spread across the city. They put in more effort to escape the city because it is no longer a place to live. His daughter Lee Soo-A is now infected.

Once Lee Jeung-hwan noticed that his daughter was infected, he moved to the village where his mother Bam Sun lives in order to protect her. He noticed that his daughter began to understand human speech as well as to be able to dance to her favorite music. Jeung-hwan does not give up in that moment, and he even conducts top-secret training for his zombie daughter.

Why don’t you usually watch this genre?

I usually watch this movie, but not all the time. The movie is usually scary sometimes, especially the one where they eat the victim by removing their intestines.

Although I prefer more educated and true-life movies because I believe that I can learn from them, I hear some people, especially females, say that they do not like to watch horror films at night because they will not be able to sleep or may fear having bad dreams.

I see horror as an alternative movie if I don't have a movie available to watch at that moment because I will use that time of watching movies to pass my time. To me, they are interesting and always give the viewers suspense.

Did this movie change your mind or confirm your feelings?

Yes, of course, I would like to watch this kind of horror movie because it is usually based on family history. At first, I wanted to feel fear, especially when the daughter was bitten, and I had the wrong impression that she would become one of the zombies that would affect the masses.

It's an entertaining movie based on comedy horror, where we can watch it in order to have fun. The feeling I have about the movie is that the father has struggled all this time for his daughter, but now she is turning into someone who has failed to achieve her dream.

What surprised you most about the film?

➡️The movie shows that her father is a responsible person who makes sure that he protects her no matter the conditions that his daughter, Lee Soo-A, goes through.

➡️The training of his vampire daughter is something that is difficult for me to believe because once this virus infects people, they are not the same again, and the virus will control their brain function.

➡️For the sake of fatherly love, everyone stands by him, including his friends and his grandmother, who make sure to join hands together and not reveal the secret of his daughter's behavior.

Would you try more movies from this genre in the future and why?

I will try to watch similar movies in the future because they're full of comedy, particularly when she was about to bite her grandmother and the grandmother hit her with a backscratcher to reset her brain. I laughed at that part.

I have watched different horror movies, and I believe that I will continue to watch more because I consider them to be fictional stories. I can watch them anytime, even at night, because they give me the ability to control my fear as well as some real-world anxiety we may face, so watching movies may help us regulate our emotional feelings.
