Choose a global or local problem (education, waste, traffic, unemployment, loneliness, etc.).
Propose a simple, realistic solution that does not rely on advanced technology.

I choose poverty, which is the major problem that people in today's world are experiencing, where many people are living in extreme poverty, making it hard for them to eat three good meals a day. Poverty varies from one country to another; some people may experience a lack of basic needs, opportunities, and services. In most cases, conflict may be the major cause.

The following are the non technological in solving the problem of poverty.

Firstly, I would endorse free school fees for less privileged people so that they can have access to quality education, especially the girls who are at risk of experiencing child labor.

Secondly, I would also try as much as possible to train smallholder farmers in sustainable practices, such as soil management and crop rotation.

Thirdly, I would also create a construction of boreholes within the community so that people can have access to affordable clean water.

Lastly, I would organize a free food program in schools so that quality food can be distributed to school children.

Who would benefit most from this solution?

The people that would benefit most from these solutions are stated below:

➡️Children of these categories of people would benefit most from this solution, which can help their cognitive functioning as well as help them live the quality of life they have always dreamed of. This solution would also help them plan their futures accordingly.

➡️Communities that are geographically isolated would also benefit from social amenities because most of the poor people that are living in rural areas are find it difficult to survive.

➡️Another group that would also benefit is the youth, who are expected to learn vocational skills, which will serve as employment opportunities for them to break the cycle that exists within their families.

What possible challenges or limitations do you think your idea might face?

The possible challenge or limitations that I might face while solving the problem of poverty are described below:

Lack of community participation: This can be a possible challenge for me because if the project coming in to the community without community engagement may likely not to solve the problem of poverty experience by the people.

Corruption: Money that are meant to alleviate the poverty in the country are misappropriate or divert to their personal project as a result of this it would fail to reach the intended beneficiary.

Lack of proper data: This is another challenge that I might face because lack of data and planning make it difficult to identify the vulnerable people in the community.

Lack of capital: Hardworking citizen find it difficult to apply for bank loan which prevent them to start any business of their choice that would help them succeed.

I would like to invite @saifuddimahmud, @jasminemary and @sana-khan01 to join me in this contest.
