Can you list 5 things you feared most to ever happen to you and why you are afraid of it?

It's normal for human beings to have fears, although these fears vary from person to person. The thing you fear may be something that another person can boldly confront.

The following are the five things I fear most in my life:

• Fear of poverty: I fear poverty because it's a kind of disease that creates fear in someone's life, where some people may think otherwise. Ever since I learned that poverty is not humanity's best friend, I have been trying day and night to ensure that I work hard and have the strong determination to continue doing my work, because I know that it will ultimately yield the results I desire.

Public speaking: It's common among students, especially for me, when it comes to addressing people publicly in a large crowd. I fear a lot the moment I stand in front of the crowd and make eye contact with the audience. I fear that I may begin to stammer, and in most cases, I do not remember everything I know.

• Fear of mosquitoes: I have a fear of mosquitoes, especially when they bite because I believe it can cause sickness. I have experienced this because nowadays both private and government hospitals charge exorbitant fees that many people cannot afford. Mosquitoes cause malaria, and the moment you have it, you cannot perform your daily activities.

• Dogs: Dogs are man's best friend, but in some cases, they create fear whenever they want to attack a person. To be honest, I fear dogs whenever I see one in front of their owner's house, and sometimes I will wait for someone to come around so that we can pass together. I have a fear of being bitten by a dog because it costs a lot of money for treatment.

• Fear of snakes: This most commonly happens to the majority of people because we have a fear of this dangerous animal biting us. The personal experience I heard from someone who was bitten by a snake makes me terrified of these poisonous animals. The chance of survival is 50/50.

Did any of these things you feared ever happened to you? Tell us

Yes, of course. Especially in the area of public speaking, I am not usually bold enough to stand in front of the audience. As a college student, after two or three weeks of my resumption, the lecturer of our department starts calling us one by one for public speaking.

By the time it reached my turn, I could not answer the question the man asked me, to the extent that my legs were shaking in front of the class. The cause of this was shyness, as well as the impromptu presentation for which I was not prepared. As time went on, I began to adapt to the method of presenting in front of a large crowd, but I still do fear it; however, it is not that much anymore.

What's your stand on the saying that the things you fear most will eventually happen?

Sure, particularly if I have been given an appointment as a lecturer at the university, college, or polytechnic, I would need to face a crowd by having enough time to teach students comfortably. I will work on overcoming the fear that attacks me because if I don't address the issue of public speaking, it will result in embarrassment in front of the students.

Some of them will laugh at me, while others may not find the class interesting. There are times when a person may also go broke because life is not always sweet; sometimes you enjoy, whereas in some other ways, you may experience the opposite, and that's how life works.

I would like to invite @josepha, @balikis333 and @bonaventure24 to participate in this contest.
