What does it mean to "Dare To Be Different"
We cannot be the same due to our different personalities, skills, and experiences. We have made us different human beings in this world. Although it is difficult to fight this battle alone, when we conquer it, we can become heroes at the end of the day.
We can never be the same because our thinking and perspectives toward what we see can be different from each other and method we can apply in solving some challenge we face cannot be the same. In fact, thinking differently is not something we should be afraid of. We are unique individuals who put our talents to work in achieving our aim and objectives. We cannot change the world when we think in the same way; we must have differences to inspire others.
Have you ever dared to be different? If yes, share with us your experience?
Yes, of course, I try to be different in a business sense because I am an entrepreneur engaged in chalk production, and throughout my area, nobody has done this kind of production before. So I make it different in order to grow as well as not to compete with others who are doing the same business.
Although it's difficult for me when I first started because I am a solopreneur without employees as well as to also maintain my standards. Even when it comes to advertising my brand, I know some strategies I do use in order to attract customers to buy my things.
Did you maintain your stand to the end by being different or you joined others eventually?
I still maintain my standards because the way I produced my own chalk is different from others, where I received calls from customers who are far away, and they need the product. Some also meet me at the house and purchase from me because they appreciate what I am doing for them, as they used to board a cab to a certain area to purchase what they need.
This way, it erases transportation fees. I do it alone because if I form a partnership, our ideas may differ, which could lead to the business failing. I prefer to do it alone so that I can think independently and make progress in my business endeavors.
Do you think daring to be different is always worth it?
Sharing to be different is always the best because you may be to know your capacity and the area you need to work on. It also allows us to embrace personalities which contribute to our fulfilment in life. Having our own business helps us to shape our understanding, which enables us to think deeply in developing our own ideas, which can lead to our breakthrough in life without following a crowd.
Finally, daring to be different also inspires others to have freedom from their own limits in order to live a standard life.
