Even the strongest men have moments of tears
I can vividly remember a time when I was very young, together with my siblings, used to find it a lot, and many kids thought that if the boy fought with a boy, he should cry; if he cried then he is weak. However, the world has changed from to see them in a different way.

Men are humans too, they feel, they stress themselves, just like some women do, in order to make money. Men crying is not a sin or crime. It is a good means of self-expression to relieve oneself of burden and pain, feel reassured, and move on for the betterment of their life.
A few years ago, I lost my father’s mother. And when my father got the report about it, he started crying and I could literally see tears rolling down. My father sobbed for days, without being soothed. It made me cry too when I saw my dad crying. At that instant, he is worthy of crying, for he used to cry a lot and there was one person who cared for him, since the time he was in his mother’s womb, all the way to his adulthood. It made him cry. My Dad was on call with his Uncle one time who had been invalid for years without healing or a solution. The man was talking to him with his voice trembling and shaking and my Dad started crying. When I was a little girl I had this little mind of Girl, I was like Why is my Dad so simple and so vulnerable who can’t even control his emotions in public. My father wept outside while I watched. I was embarrassed and rushed inside to cry as well.

I had no idea that man was shouting that it was his way of expressing himself to relieve the pains in his heart. Also, to show that he is a strong man in the house where children were around and the compound where visitors were trooping in and out without any shame..
There was a day I was celebrating my birthday and my sister birthday and my dad came to testify and he cried during his testimony. What was I? My father knew the effect of his actions. The tears in his eyes are a form of thanks for the fact his children are alive and healthy and everyone is there in the house.
My advice
To every guy out there, if you feel like crying, cry. Crying does a lot more than you think. It is a major way you express yourself, it could be a way of responding to stress, burden, pain, loss, deep joy, celebration, and peace within. Further, for men to cry does not show vulnerability in a negative sense. It can show vulnerability in a positive sense. That is to say, it can show emotional honesty, self-awareness, and self-care. Men cry when they feel the urge as their emotional expression differs. Good and bad are only perceptions. Even Men Of God Practiced Crying.

You didn't have the mind of a girl. You saw life through the lens society presented to you. Or should I say "Nollywood" in some cases.
You heard your religious leaders often project the man to be "strong" and "unfeeling". You heard people talk down a man for loving his partner or family too much. You heard them shooing him for expressing any ounce of emotion.
Or you didn't witness it directly. But you read stories of men tagged "women wrapper" or called princesses.
These are what shaped your mind and that of others. Ask a child the same question and they'd provide similar answer.
But as we grow, we discard these harmful mindsets. We understand that life isn't actually what we see in the movies or read in books.
We realise that men and women have down moments and get to support each other through these phases. We grow empathetic and no longer judge others for being human and crying when broken or loving their family to stupor.
