The Diary Game: A Joyful Sunday and a wedding celebrated from Afar(15/12/2025)

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend because
mine was truly wonderful. I woke up this morning filled with joy, and there's a lovely reason for it. But first, I want to mention how much I love Sundays, and yesterday was no different.

To make the day even more special, my childhood friend got married on a Sunday 💍. That made the day feel particularly beautiful. The only downside was that I couldn’t attend the wedding due to the distance she’s in Lagos, while I am in Akwa Ibom. This marriage is so dear to my heart that it pains me that I couldn't attend.

Sunday service was incredibly uplifting, filled with powerful lessons and inspiration that left me feeling refreshed and grateful. After the service, I stayed for our Women’s Guild meeting. We exchanged thoughts, prayed, expressed gratitude for our families, and carefully laid plans for the upcoming year. It was a long yet meaningful meeting where we had to analyze, organize, and prepare for a better year ahead.

Once I got home, I enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by my mom 😋, and then I indulged in my favorite part my Sunday nap, which I never will skip

After waking up, I quickly checked social media to catch up on my friend’s Nikkah ceremony. She sent me pictures and videos, and I felt a mix of happiness and sadness, sad that I wasn’t there, but overjoyed that she found a wonderful partner. I've known her since childhood, and we used to dream about our futures in secondary school. It was truly touching to see things come together for her.

Though I couldn’t witness everything from the day, I appreciated that we were able to have a video call while she was getting ready. She looked stunning, and I was filled with both emotion and excitement. I couldn’t cherish that moment enough.

So yes, I woke up this morning with a big smile 😊. After completing my chores, I had a quick breakfast and set off for school, feeling hopeful and grateful.
