The 3 Craziest or Weirdest Things I Did on Steemit Last Year
I did a lot of crazy things last year for contests. Just to be creative, participate in challenges and win, I had to go extra miles like the content creator that I am. In the 47k pictures I have in total in my phone's storage, I did things I never thought I would do. Let's talk about these things. Engagement or learning challenges exposed me and made me think out of the box. To some people, they considered the 3 things I'm about to share as weird.
Most people say it's not normal for a guy to do these things. I swallowed my shame to do a lot of things just to produce the creative writer and content writer that I am. The first weird content I did was Mimes. Anytime I remember this learning challenge, I smile and ask myself if I did what I did back then. Anyways, it was all so educative, as I learnt a lot of things doing all I did. Let's start with the first weirdo.

Children's Activities — Mime |

A Venezuelan Steemian was the one hosting the learning challenge of being involved with kids, interacting with them through games and other activities. Through this learning challenge, I became humble in order to participate. There were a series of interactions I had to do well. These included
Dancing
Games
Craft making with kids
Theatre house and show
Puppet making
Mimes, etc.
Of all these interactions, the most creative, crazy and funny was Mimes. I had to beg my content-creating children because I had no other child to use for this kind of activity. I gave them costumes and painted their faces. These children made me enjoy that learning challenge, as they were just so perfect in acting. **Their mother saw that it was the only way they could stop unnecessary play and uneducated things after school, so she loved the idea and wanted me to come every week and keep her children engaged.

The part that was weird to me was when I was part of the costumes. It was so funny and weird to me. A mature young man behaves like a clown just to ace a contest. It wasn't really weird to me because I learnt a lot from Mimes.
Makeup Tutorials Learning Challenge |

I think this was the worst because I was the only guy who participated in this challenge. If you make my videos, you'll laugh out your lungs. In Nigeria, men do makeup as well, and they are the ones ladies patronise the most. So I didn't see it as a weird thing until I applied foundation on my face for the first time. You need to see what @nsijoro did in this contest. I couldn't contain my laughter. It was just so loud. How???
Some people started saying I was gay when I was just learning a skill. It was weird, though, but I did it and didn't die. I'm the one doing my mum's makeup now because I went and learnt from advanced hands after the challenge motivated me to. It wasn't just about makeup. Facial cleaning and the use of some skincare products were taught, and I got to know the names of some of these facial cleaners. My acne is gone because of my participation in this challenge.

Musa Gold Contest |

This was the height of my being weird when it comes to creating content because I literally used crude oil to run on my face to signify freedom from slavery but still being slaves indirectly and directly. I thought of ways on how to win that contest, and the only way I could do that was by being creative. I hate using online pictures to lay emphasis, and I was talking about how Nigeria became slaves to their own gold.
Coupled with some creative pictures, the black gold I was talking about was rubbed on my face. Nigerians saw it as black and dirty and didn't know it would shape their economy today. They sold their black gold [Crude oil] to foreigners and are now buying it from them. Having thought of ways to bring out the creativity in me, I had to settle for this.
