How I celebrated my pentecost Sunday
| How I celebrated today's pentecost Sunday |

My name is @christabella, from Nigeria, I want to write on how my pentecost Sunday went today. First, the Pentecost is the solemnity feast celebrated 50 days after Easter. Pentecost Sunday is one of the most important celebrations in Christianity. It is observed 50 days after Easter Sunday and marks the day the holy spirit descended upon the apostle of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the book of Act in the bible.
It symbolizes the fulfillment of God' promise to send the holy spirit to guide, strengthen, and empower believers. After the resurrection and ascension if jesus Christ, his disciples gathered together in prayer in Jerusalem. Suddenly, a mighty holy spirit descended on the disciples and they started speaking in tongues.
In the church today, during the prayer of the faithful, people who where chosen to pray were given different languages to use to pray during the prayer of the faithful, the importance of Pentecost Sunday brings about the power of the holy spirit, unity among believers, boldness in sharing faith and spiritual growth and transformation. It also stmbolizes fire which is the descendment of the holy spirit.
So after the service me and my friends we went to the house and we ate Beans and yam celebrating and thanking God for protecting our lives 50 days ago after Easter which we are happy that the holy spirit have also descended on us as we gather together in one place to eat in the same table. Lastly, Pentecost teaches belivers to live with faith, love, courage and obedience to God.
I invite @peacemike @bossj23 and @Obikay to contribute their opinions.
