If I Rule...and If I Love”
If you were given the opportunity to rule your country, what are the top three changes you would make to improve people’s lives? |
|---|
Hello steemian, I am @christabella from Nigeria, I am here to write on the three changes I would have make to improve people's lives. First of all I could have loved to improve people's lives by improving their lives through food, care, and education, a better society begins when basic needs are met and opportunities are created for everyone. Three keys areas can bring real change, reducing food prices, supporting orphanages, and prioritizing quality education.
Bringing down the prices of food because food is a basic necessity, yet many families struggle to afford it. To reduce food prices, I will need to supply the farmers with subsidies, fertilizer and modern tools so it can improve transportation and storage to reduce food spoilage. When food becomes affordable, families can live healthier lives and focus on growth rather than survival.
Government and community should partner to ensure steady funding encourage individuals and businesses to give back providing for orphanage, ensuring that every child feels valued, protected, and hopeful about the future.
Prioritizing quality education is the foundation of national development and personal success. When education is prioritize it empowers individual to break the cycle of poverty and build a stronger society.
What is one major issue affecting your country today, and how would your leadership approach solve it effectively? |
|---|
One major issue affecting my country today is the high cost of fuel, living, especially food prices. Many families struggle daily just to afford basic meals, and this affects health, productivity, and overall quality of life. As a leader my approach would focus on making food affordable and accessible through practical, long-term solutions. My leadership approach focuses not just on temporary relief, but on building a sustainable system where food is affordable for everyone
First, I would invest heavily in agriculture. This means providing farmers with subsidies, modern equipment, quality seeds, and access to loans. When farmers can produce more at lower costs, food supply increases, and prices naturally drop. Second, I would improve transportation and storage system. A lot of food gets wasted due to poor roads and lack of storage centres. Food can move easily from farm to market without reducing scarcity and stabilizing prices.
As a wife or husband, what values and actions would you bring into your marriage to build a peaceful and supportive home? |
|---|
Building a peaceful and supportive home doesn't happen by luck, it comes from intentional values and daily actions. As a wife, these are key things I would bring into a marriage. First is respecting and understanding, I would treat my partner with deep respect, even during disagreement, listening without interrupting, valuing their opinions, and trying to understand their feelings would be a priority.
I would create a safe space where we can talk about anything, joy, worries, plans and even mistakes without fear. Clear communication prevents misunderstanding and strengthen trust. Love express through action by not just saying I love you but showing it through small daily acts, support, kindness, encouragement, and being present. Love in action builds emotional security.
No one is perfect. I would practice patience in difficult moments and be quick to forgive, holding grudges destroy peace, while forgiveness restores it. I would contribute actively to building our home emotionally, financially, and physically. Marriage is a partnership, not a one sided effort. So, I will encourage my partner's dream and personal growth.
How do you think good leadership at home (as a spouse) can influence better leadership in society? |
|---|
Good leadership at home especially between spouses is like the training ground for leadership in society. The habit, values, and behaviour practiced in marriage often extend outward into how individuals relate with others in the wider community. First, a well led home build character when spouses practice honesty, patience, and accountability with each other.
Those qualities become natural. A person who learns to listen, compromise, and take responsibility at home is more likely to lead fairly and responsibly in society whether in business or in the society. Strong home create role models for the next generation. Children raised in a peaceful, respectful environment are more likely to grow into disciplined responsible citizens and future leaders. I therefore invite @dhizy, @bossj23 and @Obikay to participate in the contest.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
I went through your post thoroughly. You're nothing far from the truth. Hardship has damaged a lot of families. Poverty is the root of all evil, in that sense with need someone like you to tackle hardship by providing basic amenities like food, shelter and clothing.
You're such a teachable and supportive partner as a wife.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Keep steeming sweetheart 💙
