Story: Married to a Gay — Episode 1
Greetings! Beloved steemains, I know that it has been a while I bring to us such interesting stories, doe I have been receiving some message's on my Whatsapp, people asking me while I stopped writing all this stories, LoL 😅. But today, @dannyben39 is back here to pen down the reality and things happening, so follow me as we dive in!
Marriage is supposed to be a safe place.
A home where love breathes freely and truth has no hiding place.
But what happens when you say “I do” to someone who is fighting a secret bigger than love?
What happens when vows are exchanged, yet desire is absent?
When the bed is shared, but hearts are worlds apart?
This is not just a story about marriage. It is a story about silence, denial, faith, and a truth that waited until it was too late.
So now Welcome to Married to a Gay — Episode 1.
Read slowly😂… because some wounds don’t bleed loudly💔.
I noticed it on our wedding night.
Not the silence.
Not the awkwardness.
But the way he flinched when I touched him like love was a language he never learned to speak.
Everyone said I was lucky.
Daniel was kind, respected, well spoken. The type mothers prayed for and friends envied.
Our wedding was loud with laughter, bright with colors, and heavy with expectations. People said, “You glow.”
I smiled until my cheeks hurt.
But that night, when the guests were gone and the doors were shut, the glow faded.
He sat on the edge of the bed, hands locked together, eyes fixed on the floor.
“You’re tired,” I said softly, trying to save us both from embarrassment.
He nodded too quickly.
“Yes. Very tired.”
I believed him. Or maybe I wanted to.
The days after the wedding were… peaceful. Too peaceful😂.
Daniel cooked. He cleaned. He listened. He remembered every little detail about my day. He treated me with a gentleness that felt like love but also like distance. We slept on the same bed, yet miles apart.
Whenever I tried to get close, emotionally or physically, something always interrupted us.
A headache.
A late meeting.
A sudden prayer request.
At first, I blamed myself.
Maybe I’m not attractive enough.
❌Maybe marriage needs time.
❌Maybe love grows slowly.
✅But love doesn’t avoid you.
✅And marriage doesn’t feel this lonely.
One night, I woke up and realized Daniel wasn’t beside me.
The house was quiet, except for a faint light coming from the sitting room. I wrapped a cloth around myself and walked slowly, my heart beating louder with every step.
He was there, on the couch.
But I couldn't see exactly what he was holding in his hand.
His Face was soft.
Smiling.
I had never seen him smile like that before.
Not at me.
Not even on our wedding day.
I froze when I over heard a voice.
But not too clear
Familiar. Intimate.
“I miss you,” Daniel whispered, his voice breaking in a way I had never heard.
My chest tightened. I couldn’t breathe.
Daniel looked up and saw me.
Time stopped.
Neither of us spoke.
“What… was that?” I finally asked.
He stood up, panic flashing across his face.
“It’s not what you think.”
That sentence.
The most dangerous sentence in any marriage.
That night, we sat across each other like strangers forced into the same storm.
“I tried,” he said quietly. “I really did.”
“Tried what?
My voice shook.
“Tried to love me?”
He didn’t answer.
Silence confessed what words couldn’t.
“I didn’t choose this,” he continued, tears welling in his eyes. “I knew this was only the beginning.
To be continued… (Episode 2)
Sometimes, the hardest betrayals don’t come from hatred, They come from fear.
Fear of society.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of living one’s truth.
In this episode, love was present, but honesty was missing.
And when truth finally showed up, it shattered everything in its path.
But this story is far from over.
Secrets are deeper than what is to be revealed.
More hearts will be broken.
And the truth will demand a price no one is ready to pay.
💔 Was this marriage a mistake, or a sacrifice?
💭 Who is really the victim here?
Please I humbly ask for your help by showing your support in any possible way, especially resteem so that more people can see it and learn as well, comment because it the one key that's motivates me to write more..
