Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week125: Love is in the Air
What's the best Valentine's gift you've gotten or given, and why did you love it? |
|---|
The best Valentine's gift I've gotten or even given was not something you can wrap or post online. It was time and attention. I remember one Valentine's period where everything felt slow. No rush, no pressure, just being there for someone. Talking, listening, sharing, and some jokes. That gift meant a lot to me because it was sincere. It wasn't done because of trends or social media. It was just from the heart. In the same way, when I take photos, the best shots are not always the ones planned. It's the ones that actually happen naturally. That's why I love that gift because it felt real and very, very honest. And those are the things that last longer in memory.
Should Valentine's be just for couples, or should we celebrate it with everyone? |
|---|
For me, Valentine's should not be only for couples. Love is bigger than romance. We show love to our friends, our family, our siblings, our parents, and even people who support us silently. Limiting Valentine's to couples alone makes it feel incomplete. And you can celebrate Valentine's by checking on a friend. helping someone or even appreciating yourself. Love has many forms, and Valentine's should be a reminder of that. Just like photography, you don't focus on only one subject because sometimes the background also tells the story.
If you could design your perfect Valentine, what would it look like? |
|---|
My perfect Valentine would be simple and calm. No pressure to impress, no competition, no forced happiness. Just a peaceful day with meaningful conversations, good food, maybe soft music and laughter, and a day like that where you don't have to prove anything. That's the same mode I look for when shooting photos. I like moments that feel natural, not a stitch. A Valentine that feels like that would be perfect to me. Is Valentine's Day just for?
Is Valentine's Day just about money, or can it still about love? |
|---|
Valentine's is not about money, even though money has made it look like it is that way. Love can't be measured by how much you spend. A message, a visit, or a kind word or support can mean more than expensive gifts. Money fades, but intention... This, just like photography, is not the camera that makes the photos special; it's the emotion behind it. Valentine's can still be about love if we share and also choose to make it about love.
