Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week134- Why Wait???

Let say you are being sitted in your room, pressing your phone, scrolling through Instagram or TikTok. Unexpectedly you see one of your friend back then in secondary school, he have start small clothing line, selling online, even have customers abroad. Then you ask yourself: “How about me, what am I still waiting for? Why I haven't I start my own?”. Honestly while you are waiting for the “perfect time,” others have move. So if life was a football match, how many goals would you miss because you are waiting for referee whistle which won't blow?

In our everyday life, “Why Wait?” is a reminder that time doesn't pause for anybody. If you wait too much, opportunity can pass you like a danfo truck that doesn't stop. Example: you think of starting POS business but you do fear small money. Another person can start with just one table and umbrella, and before you know it, he or she has expanded. That's how life is. “Why Wait?” means for you to act now, don't postpone what can change your life. As we all hear and say: “Opportunity won't knock twice,it comes but once”.

I remember one time which I had the chance to apply for scholarship. I do tell myself that “I'll do it tomorrow.” Tomorrow turn next week, next week turn next month. Before I knew it , deadline have close. The regret was something to remember, because if i didn't delay, I would have been on another level.

It's just like a person to wait for the rain to stop before he will fetch water. By the time rain stop, the water is gone.

Since that day, I learn that procrastination can kill dream than poverty. Poverty can still give you small chance, but delay will shut the door completely.

One day while going to work at the road near the market, I saw one woman struggling with her load. People walk and pass her , as if she's a film. I didn't wait, I just rush to help her to carry the load. She thank me very well, she even dash me small foodstuffs. That small action makes me to realize that sometimes, immediate action can brings you joy which you didn't expect.

Another time, I apply for job immediately I see the advert. It was that quick move that makes me to be interviewed and later secure the work. If I waited, maybe another person would have taken the slot.

However delay is dangerous. Quick action can open door which you didn't even plan for.

If fear is absent on my mind, I will start poultry farm today. Many of us do wait because we do fear failure, fear what people will say, or fear that our money is not complete. But the truth is that, fear is a chain which can hold a person down.

Therefore in simple way let say fear is just like a spoilt traffic light we see in the road which shows red forever. If you don't move yourself at the moment, you will be stuck there forever. Therefore So if I can break that chain called fear, I will start it immediately.

In all,life is short, and time doesn't wait for anybody. Therefore “Why Wait?” is a question which suppose to ring in our head every day of our life. Knowing that delay can bring regret, also quick action can bring blessing, and fear can surely block our destiny will surely help us. However, if you decide or want to make progress, please don't just wait. Start today, even if it's a little step just start. Tomorrow might not show, but today is in your hand to control.
