SC-S26W3/ Video Editing; Introduction to Audio in CapCut
Hi friends, I warmly welcome you again to my channel. It's the third week of our video editing class with our teacher @anailuj1992. For the past two weeks, we have learnt how to import, trim, add overlay, split, regulate speed etc. It's been an amazing class and so, this week I'm participating in the video editing class.
Firstly, I imported a video. I had to mute the audio then by clicking on the speaker down on the left-hand side of the capcut screen as was shown in the class.
I proceeded to trim off the areas I didn't need because I needed it to be 1–2 minutes, as was directed by our teacher. I proceeded to the aspect ratio set it at 9:16, I didn't stop there. The main aim of this week's class was to add audio to our video.
Adding Voice Over/Audio
Firstly, we were to add our voice over either extracted from our phones or directly recorded using the capcut app. To get that done, I clicked on audio.
I had different options pooped out, like (extract, sound, sound FX, record and text to audio). I clicked on record with the microphone icon, and it was highlighted blue. I held it and made a voice recording which I used to introduce myself by my username on Steemit (eveetim).
Increasing the Volume
Since it seems like my voice was low, I increased the volume by clicking on the audio, it highlighted and took me to another interface where I found volume. I clicked on volume, with that, I could increase the volume to 100 to make my voice audible.
To enhance the audio, I also saw other options like Audio Effects to change the voice or add effect to the audio like high or low voice and others but I decided to maintain the original sound since that was what I preferred most to the other options.
Adding Music
I went further to add music to the video because, from the beginning, the original sound was muted. On the interface, it showed edit and next to it was audio. I clicked on audio, and it took me to where I found record to record my voice earlier, but this time, I didn't use the microphone, but I clicked on sound, since I didn't have any music in mind to extract from my phone. It took me to the capcut music file.
I used the search bar to search for a cool audio string to avoid copyright authorisation issues. And there I found this (piano strings celestial) which I played and found it pleasing. I clicked on the plus sign close to it, and it appeared on my video.
Before I exported the video, I added the Steemit logo overlay and also removed the capcut ending in the video, and then I clicked on export to export the video to my phone.
Brief About the Video
About the video I uploaded, it's family time together with my children. Since my husband is always away for work and the children are on holiday, it's always me and them at home. It's either we're singing or dancing just to have some fun. I used our singing time to lose my daughter's hair and my son opted to join.
For me, it's an amazing time teaching my children how to show love to each other, to be there for each other. From the video, you could see my daughter smiling and dancing because she was excited. Deep in her, she was happy, loved and cared for.
Every time together as a family is usually an amazing time for us because there we express love and kindness towards each other. I intentionally do this with my children because it is one of the ways to bond with each other.
The video was recorded and edited with my phone itel A70.
I'm inviting @okere-blessing @adese and @ruthjoe
