Hello Steemians, join me to first of all acknowledge and appreciate the idea of @xkool24 on his consistency on the neighborhood watch contest. I have been a beneficiary of this consistently. Today, I am sharing my engagement with others to fight against malaria in pregnant women and children.

FAM-pact Rally

I was going out with my son, when I felt the atmosphere charging up with its rhythm rising to the sky, who gave feedback to the mammoth crowd recorded in the last FAM - pact sponsored by Ibom Air. Neighborhood Watch tells you “know what is happening in your area and report the same”. I inquired about the uniform people who wore orange and emerald colors in good numbers, dancing with trucks and DJ. Just as I was making the findings, one of them excused the crowd and handed over a handbill. Upon receiving it, I decided to join the campaign.

Malaria is a life-threatening spread by the female anophelence mosquito and bad air. There are drugs in thousands on malaria. Even with all the preventive treatments, it continues to affect people in millions. This disease has been a program.

This particular campaign put up by Ibom Air focused mainly on pregnancy and children. Studies have proved that pregnant women and children under 5 years are prone to malaria. I don't know if you know that malaria pregnancy can cause anemia. Ibom launched and donated 30,000 doses of Sulfadoxine, 1,000 insecticide - treated net. From malaria.

• Clear bushes and stagnant waters around your house.
  -Do your best to sleep under insecticide treated -net every night.
  -Always cover yourself with long sleeves clothing in the evening
• Keep your home clean and hygienic.
• Pregnant women should take intermittent drugs or as may be prescribed.

I was happy that such a campaign is ongoing with zeal and resources pulled into the work.

Africa has suffered from malaria for decades, and I am calling on the global world to fight and completely eradicate malaria once and for all. All the drugs we have been taking do not stop it.

Even though I did not wear the T-shirt for the rally against malaria, I followed them all but not too far before I attended to family needs.
