This is one of those contests with a direct impact on our daily lives if we must be sincere. This contest speaks explicitly and, at some point, creates an opportunity for one to rethink his or her actions with respect to time. I appreciate you, @ninapenda, for putting this thought-provoking contest. For me, it's more than writing it for rewards, but the message it speaks to me is worth everything.

What does the phrase “Why Wait?” mean to you in your daily life? Share your thoughts with examples.

The phrase “why waiting” is a question that one could be asked by another or one's self. It motivates, stirs, “provokes” something into the subconscious mind to wake up and face the reality of the moment. The funny thing about life is that “time” does not wait, so if we joke with opportunities.

One of our lecturers gave us a book to review. I thought i could finish the book in two days, i was like “I will do it on Tuesday, yea!” Here comes the day I proposed to do, but I didn't until the eleventh hour when I struggled with it. Trying to skim, scan, and glance into it. Meanwhile, if I did not procrastinate, I would have taken my time to review it.

Have you ever delayed something important and later regretted it? What did you learn from that experience?

Apart from the book review I mentioned earlier, I have delayed going for an event that I was to handle, thinking it will not commence on the fixed time and when I got there the person who invited me took over. I regretted my actions. “How can I take my time to prepare but fail to deliver?” There are times our excuses aren't worth it. I explained, “it's okay, my brother, when I noticed you were not here, even though I was not well prepared, i had to stand in for you.” Hearing that, I regretted it badly, and I was uncomfortable throughout that event.

Describe a moment when taking immediate action made a positive difference in your life or someone else’s.

My boss gave me something to develop with a 3 week deadline. Being that I had other things on my table, I made up my mind not to start and finish the work within one week, and I ended up using 5 days. After a week, out of the 3 weeks i was given, my boss called and told me to do it fast because he may need it before the actual date earlier than the proposed submission. He was surprised that I gave it to him immediately. From that day, he has been telling his friend who is smart and prompt I am in delivering my tasks.

It was the best moment of my life to enter into the good book of my boss and worth recommendations. He was satisfied and I was too.

If you had no fear or doubt, what is one thing you would stop waiting for and start doing today—and why?

As a pastor, I don't need to wait until Saturday evening to prepare for Sunday service. I must be swift in my planning. The clothes, the sermons, and the people I will use should be made ready before Thursday at least. Each time I put things in place earlier, I usually enjoy myself.

I invite @etette @dedejur @mayjay @nsisong2022 to participate
