"SC-S28/W1-Movie Highlights|First-Time Feels "Get Out "
Assalamu Alaikum..!!
My Dear Friends,
I am @jannatakter24 from #Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Today I'm here to participate in the first week of the 28th Learning Challenge. I'll be participating in the first week of the Movie Highlights hosted by @ruthjoe Meme.
✅Debut as a director or watch a new movie. For example movies: Get Out (Jordan Peele), Lady Bird (Greta Gerwig), District 9 (Neil Blomkamp)
Today I watched Jordan Peele's first movie Get Out. This movie was released in 2017. The movie is an American psychological horror movie produced by Jordan Peele. This is his first movie that made him known as a popular director worldwide. It is a horror, thriller and a movie that carries a social message. Chris is seen in the main character of this movie. The movie is basically made about hidden racism. Black Chris goes to meet his girlfriend's family. Although they seem polite at first, later Pleas realizes that this family wants to occupy the bodies of black people and install their own brains to live forever. The movie shows the truth that invisible racism can be hidden even in people who are polite from the outside.
✅ What was most noticeable about the director's style or storytelling?
The most noticeable thing about director Jordan Peele's storytelling style is the subtle blending of fear, social reality, and satire in the film. Director Jordan Peele doesn't just scare with scary sounds like other typical horror directors. He creates a frightening tension through the unusual silence of the characters in the film, excessive polite behavior, and gradually increasing discomfort. Jordan Peele's storytelling style is very smart, slow, psychological, and explosive.
✅ Did the film feel smooth or raw? How did it affect your experience?
To me, the film felt completely polished. To me, the cinematography felt very smooth and neat. The color grading created a very nice atmosphere of fear. The background sound is very perfect and clear. The pace of the story is controlled and planned with the actors' performances and they perfectly portrayed their performances. Since I am an ordinary viewer, it is not possible for me to analyze a film in detail. But I understand that people are never directly racist, to save your life you have to fight yourself, social reality sometimes becomes as scary as horror. This story has strengthened my experience. I feel that due to making such a party movie, I was able to feel the tension, fear, doubt of the story more and more intensely.
✅ Would you watch more movies by this director? Why or why not?
Yes, of course I want to watch more movies by this director. Because he highlights reality through the story. He inserts social messages into the fear, his storytelling style is different and his characters gradually become mysterious. He creates fear and excitement among people by showing real problems in a horror format. So I will watch other movies by this director with great interest.
✅ What message or theme did you get from the movie?
The message that I want to share with everyone from the movie is mentioned below -
▫️The most powerful message of this movie is that racism hidden behind the external politeness is terrible.
▫️People are never directly racist, but rather their behavior, praise, and excessive interest all create a kind of comfortable racism.
▫️By losing control, human feelings often take away freedom and voice in society
▫️If you want to save your own life, you have to fight for yourself, Chris has shown it in this movie.
▫️Social reality sometimes becomes as dangerous as kidnapping.
I would like to invite my some friends for participate this competition @tanvirahammad10,@shabiha-jahan,@imranhassan
