My Experience with Neighbours
Describe one memorable experience you have had with a neighbour. Was the experience positive or negative?
The memorable experience that I have had with a neighbour is sharing and giving of things. At my former lodge, my neighbour and I were very close and friendly, and whenever I cooked, I would give to my neighbour, and whenever my neighbour cooked, she would give to me. We were like sisters sharing the things we have with each other, having access to each others rooms because I have her key, which she also has with her.
We lived peacefully and lovingly with one another in the compound for about two years before I packed out of the compound. My experience with my neighbour back then was a positive experience that I had with my neighbour.
What lesson did you learn from that experience?
I learned the lessons of giving, kindness, generosity, and love from my neighbour. She is someone without a problem, that is, someone who doesn't like having issues with anyone. She is a gentle soul who, if you're with her or close to her, you will be influenced by a kind lifestyle. Also, I learned the lesson of being silent most of the time and minding my business in a public compound.
What qualities make a good neighbour in your opinion?
The qualities that make a good neighbour, in my opinion, are:
- Caring for one another
- Standing or supporting one another
- Safeguarding each other's interests
- Being nice and respected
- Respecting people's privacy or space.
- Being polite and bold
Do you think neighbours are that important? Explain.
Yes, I think neighbours are important. Neighbours are like family members to us. Sometimes we need the help of neighbours to stand as a referee for us, to help us secure our properties when we are not around. We also need neighbours to make our environment lively and busy, and for a supportive environment to grow, neighbours are very important.
Neighbors are very important people to look after because they are the first people we need to look out for when we experience unexpected events.
If we don't maintain harmony with our neighbors, it might be difficult for us to breathe, because they are the ones who always care and understand everything.
We need them to survive. We aren't always healthy, and we also have to think about when we're sick or our parents aren't home. They are the first people to see you, and that's why it's so important to maintain harmony with your neighbors.
