What does it mean to "Dare To Be Different"

This is an interesting question. "Daring to be different" simply means me having or someone having the courage to stand out from the crowd, to act, think, or express myself in ways that are unique and unconventional, despite social pressure or potential criticism. It is all about a person being bold enough to do something different from others by following his or her own choice.

Have you ever dared to be different? If yes, share with us your experience.

Yes, I have ever dared to be different. During my first year in the university, I left with three girls who never took their academic life seriously. All they knew how to to is clubbing which I told myself that I will never followed they pathways instead I will be different and be the one to change them.

I was tempted to follow their lifestyle, but I didn't instead I became too serious with activities in school and school fellowship. At the end of our 200 level, I was able to influence them especially the one who had a low grade which till date is happy with me.

Did you maintain your stand to the end by being different or did you join the others eventually?

I maintain stand by not joining them which in the end I relocated out of the house. In my 200 level, I moved to another house, awho knew of their mistake came to me for help.

At some point, I felt like joining them but I resisted the temptation of joining them. It was my elder brother who even helped me out, because he was constantly monitoring my move in the school which is why I would not have joined them.

Do you think daring to be different is always worth it?

Well, I can say that it is not necessarily in every situation. It can lead to personal fulfilment, innovation, and positive societal change, but it can also result in social isolation or conflict. The way out is for us to weigh the potential benefits against the risks and staying true to one's convictions when the cause is meaningful is what I can say.
