Cooking is part of my hobby and I would one day like to own one of the biggest restaurants in the world. In this post, I will be teaching you how to prepare my favorite soup.

Bitter leaf and Cocoyam powder soup is a soup that when you taste it, you will want to eat everything as soon as possible because of how delicious it is.

Without further ado, let me quickly take you through how to cook Cocoyam powder and bitter leaf soup. Let's begin with the ingredients:

  • Goat meat
  • Dey fish
  • Stockfish
  • Crayfish
  • Fresh pepper
  • Cocoyam powder
  • Bitter leaf
  • Onion
  • Spicy
  • Ogiri
  • Salt
  • Red oil

In cooking yours, you have to ensure the bitter leaf is well-washed with no bitterness. In any case, I bought a washed bitter leaf from the market and rewashed it well.

  • Cook the meat, beef, cow trip, and stockfish with the seasoning cubes till soft.

  • Take out the stockfish, debone, and break into pieces

  • Add about 1 and a half cups of water to the pot, add the crayfish, dry fish, stockfish, ogiri, pepper, cocoyam paste (in small scoops), palm oil, and bitter leaf, cover, and start cooking on high heat.

  • Keep your eye on it and stir the bottom of the pot from time to time if necessary.

  • When the cocoyam paste completely dissolves, taste for salt and add some if needed.

  • When the bitter leaf soup has thickened to your taste, take it off the gas, stove, or cooking gas.
