What does the phrase “In the midst of crisis” mean to you? Share your understanding in your own words.

Sometimes we are bound to face challenges in life which can be personal, family, academic, work challenges, or unstable times, all of these are what constitute the phrase in the "midst of crisis". It is the period of time when someone is being faced with or is battling with life challenges, a difficult moment in one's life.

I have found myself in a situation where I thought there was no hope for me to come out of my challenges, but I did come out of it because I was prayerful about it, and was so determined to come out of my challenges during the midst of crisis as I did the necessary things that saved me from my crisis.

When in the midst of a crisis, what do you usually do, like the first thing you do? How do you handle it? (It can be personal, academic, financial, or emotional.)

When I am faced with a crisis, what I usually do, is to calm myself down and think of a way out to solve my problem. However, most of the time I do figure out so many things to do, before concluding on the exact one to do. In the midst of a crisis, it is usually a financial crisis that I borrow money from a family member or friend to sort myself out and pay back later.

Do you believe crises make people stronger or weaker? Explain your view.

Believe a crisis makes people stronger because it is a challenge that makes someone stand undefeated. However, during the time of crisis, some people seem to be weaker, especially at the point where they have no solution, but some people become stronger during and after the crisis. As for me, the crisis made me stronger because it showed me the real man that is in me.

What lesson(s) did you learn from that experience, and how has it shaped you today?

The lesson that I have learn from that experience is that one should always prepare themselves for future uncertainty because no one can tell what the outcome of tomorrow can be. It has taught me about saving and connecting with the right people. It shaped my life because it made me know all of these which are now helping me today.
