Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "My experience with daily contribution collectors" as part of my participation in this contest.
Do you know the daily contribution collectors? What is your experience with them?
Yes, I know daily contribution collectors. Daily collectors are those people who collect money from people daily and keep it safe on their behalf. Most daily collectors move from one place to another collecting money from those who are willing to save money which by so doing the daily collectors would then collect money and sign on the person's record card as proof of savings and collection which at the end of the month the daily collectors would take the first savings from everyone.
During my industrial training (IT) year I subscribed to daily contribution, where I was saving ₦200 which is equivalent to 2 STEEM daily. While saving I was also scared that the daily collector would run away with money based on people's stories. I was lucky that the collector didn't run away with my money before I stopped, but some of my colleagues at works that continues with the daily savings were disappointed as the daily collector vanished with people's money.
Daily contributions are risky for both the contributors and the collectors is all I can say. Most people do it inform of a meeting to support one another. It is a good way to save money and to raise money, but I have trust issues which I can't do especially since we have multiple modern ways of saving.
How long have you been with them? Can you recommend people to them?
I have been with them for close to a year which is throughout my IT says. Based on my own experience and the complaints of my colleagues then and the means of savings we now have I can't recommend people to them. My reason is simple because there's no interest in saving it is only the daily collector that benefits the most.
Do you think every business owner should join the daily contribution collectors?
Yes, I think every business owner should join the daily contribution collection to help improve their business. It is just like issurance scheme for business owners but more risky for an individual.
If the contribution collectors are people who trust themselves and are doing the contribution for the interest of their business then I then the business owner should join the daily contribution collectors in case something happens so the business can be supported.
If the collector dies, will you forfeit your money or ask the relative to pay you since there's no written agreement?
Hmmm, it depends on how much I have contributed and my state of financial stability. If I am financially okay, then I will forfeit my money, but if I am financially struggling and know the collector family is doing well, I will ask the relative to pay me at least 30% of my money if they can.
