Hi friends, good to have you here on my blog, of course I've got something to share about this contest topic. It caught my attention the very moment I saw it, I felt not writing about it would make me a bit unfulfilled as it relates to my blogging plan for the week.

Do you accept gender reveal party? Back up your answers with facts.

I would have loved to give a direct "No" answer because that is actually my stand about it but then I would like to engage us by asking the question "Why" why do people who engage in this do this? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Could it be as a result of the overwhelming happiness? What could actually be the reason friends... I think I'm as clueless as you reading this right now...

To me, throwing a party is an extreme act which seems to me like counting your eggs before they hatch. Knowing the gender of your Child is not a bad idea for many valid reasons but throwing a party after discovering the gender is a "No" for me. Just "What if"? I mean what if?

I'm trying to encode my communication so I don't sound negative but stuff happens. We just have to learn to control our emotions when we are happy or excited, no matter how overwhelming we feel, it could be the game changer for us.

Do you think everyone should adopt this trend?

Absolutely No! I mean why should we emulate what has no profound basis. Some of those so-called celebrities practicing these are going through stuff because they have revealed so much of unnecessary information to the public.

Those who have realized how foolish they have been with the way they handled personal info have started adjusting .It kinda hard but they've learnt the hard way.

Anyone who feels he or she wants to adopt it should carefully think it through because not all trends are beneficial. It's funny how people flow with trends without even checking thoroughly what the trend is all about.

Maybe I need to remind us all that not all trends suit your personality therefore avoid jumping on trends you do not fully understand, especially trends that have the potential of exposing you unduly.

How safe is this trend considering the society we live in.

I'm black, African to be precise or better still from the country Nigeria. I do not know how things work in countries outside Nigeria but mehn! When you live in a country such as mine, you've got to be very careful of the way to handle issue and live your life in general.

Not revealing certain things about your life can be your most effective life saver because you keep those who have bad intentions concerning you in the dark and this prevents them from harming you easily. But when they have more than enough information about you especially information that they perceive gives you joy, then be rest assured that they've gotten something to harm you with.

In my opinion such practice should not be encouraged here, maybe it is the white man's cultural thing and works quite well there, it doesn't work like that here. By the way, I have a question for our friends outside Nigeria. The question is this... "Have you heard of village people".I bet you haven't and I pray you don't have a firsthand experience. Anyways if you've got Christ, you've got nothing to fear but wisdom is profitable to direct.

Share your general thoughts on this topic, if possible your kind advice to people who are yet to join this trend.

I would like to summarize my whole view on this topic by saying do not be quick to join trends you do not understand, especially trends that could endanger you and your unborn child who you are supposed to protect with everything you've got.

When you're overly excited avoid speaking or acting because you might end up doing or saying things you never intended the same goes for moments when you're overwhelmed with anger, when you act or speak , you could do stuff you never intended. May God help us all. Let me draw the curtain here friends. Thanks for reading throughout.

Regards
@lhorgic❤️
