Hi friends, welcome to my blog. I would love to share my thoughts concerning this contest topic and I hope you enjoy every bit of my entry. Let's get right into it friends.

What does the phrase “Why Wait?” mean to you in your daily life? Share your thoughts with examples.

"Why wait?" Is a phrase that compels action, it gives this feeling that sets one on motions while pointing out why delay may be detrimental. I found this topic interesting because I can actually relate.

Somehow I've had to ask myself this question indirectly because I've suffered a great deal for lagging or dragging my feet to do something that I ought to have done. "Why wait" talks about the possibility of getting things done when you really can and not when you feel it should be done because sometimes our timing might just be our undoing.

It's even funny when the thing you have to do centers around an idea you want to implement or something competitive in nature.Delay could be to your disadvantage. The idea you are waiting to implement would be what someone will start without even waiting for the stars to align only then would you understand why delay is dangerous.

Have you ever delayed something important and later regretted it? What did you learn from that experience?

Yea and I learnt from my experience. This actually happened at work, I've been having this pattern of pushing what I'm to do today, tomorrow. That's procrastination right? Well, this is as a result of the numerous tasks I have to handle and sometimes it's as a result of prioritizing wrongly. So I get to leave some task which ought to be done immediately for a later time while the one to be done later is being done immediately.

It then happened that my boss called me one day to help him fetch some important information which he thought I'ld have filed or archived, then it dawned on me that I do not even have those files saved up, in fact I'ld lost them because my phone got wiped, I mean was restored to factory default.

Now the problem was not that my phone wiped, the information was there weeks and maybe a month before the phone got wiped but didn't archive until it happened. I thought that I had time. I was waiting for what I call the right and convenient time to do what should have been done normally without these conditions.

I felt ashamed of myself when I couldn't provide it. Thank God a friend of mine had some kind of backup where I retrieved some of the things he actually needed. I learnt my lesson that day to do things promptly and outline tasks to be done as soon as possible. I'm not perfect yet but that experience has taught me a hard lesson.

Describe a moment when taking immediate action made a positive difference in your life or someone else’s.

This experience is not even work related, it's actually about a colleague of mine I saved from fraudsters some years ago. I would have actually overlooked and waited till she came crying and regretting but I couldn't imagine myself to be that mean.

It happened that some random numbers started chatting her out of the blues and due to her courteous nature she had already fallen into their trap as they had promised her heaven on earth but the condition was that she would send them money to waybill everything they had gotten for her.

They sent her all manner of fake pictures of the items they claimed to have bought for her, ready to be shipped down. All these while, I had been eveedroping on their conversation but not intentionally, I felt something was wrong and that was the reason I began to pay attention to her calls. At some point, I already knew that she was being played but it was hard for me to approach her and tell her what I think, she would mistake my kind gesture for someone who had just intruded on her privacy.

I was calm but stuck in between approaching her or allowing her to learn the hard way. So one day, the day the deal was to be sealed, when she was to go make the payment of a substantial amount. I couldn't take it anymore, I said to myself "I need to save this lady" if delayed the next minute, the money would be gone, so I ran all the way down to catch up with her as she was already on her way to a P.O.S terminal to make the transfer.

I told her everything and how the people she had been talking to and chatting for days are fraudsters. She didn't believe it until I asked her to put up an act and then everything became clear. She was so grateful to me for saving her from those folks.

If you had no fear or doubt, what is one thing you would stop waiting for and start doing today—and why?

Well, I would stick to the lesson I've learned recently...not to delay in doing the very things that should be done. Not to wait for what we call perfect timing because sometimes they never truly exist. My ideology lately has always been to go for it. Don't slack nor lag.
When we delay, excuses creep in, like 1000 and 1 reason why one should push things till a later time.

I will love to wrap it up at this point, I hope you learnt a thing or two from this entry. Feel free to share your thoughts with me in the comment section. Gracias!
