Contest: "How I Survived a Difficult Moment."
Hello steemians, welcome to my blog, greeting to everyone. I am here to participate in this beautiful contest organised by @ruthjoe.
- Share with us a difficult moment in your life you faced
The difficult moment in my life that I faced was taking care of my sick aunt and uncle at the same time.
In 2024, my aunt and uncle were so sick that we spent all our money taking care of them.
And that was the same year that I was preparing to write the JAMB and enter university. I was finding it very difficult to take care of them at the same time as reading my books.
My aunt was very sick that she couldn’t stand up from bed except with the help of someone. At that time I was the only one available then, my aunt's husband was busy working to earn money for the hospital bill, and my uncle's wife and children were also working to provide for the family, so I was the only one taking care of both of them.
This is the worst experience so far in my life that I don’t even wish anyone to experience.
You know how taking care of someone is always very difficult talk more of taking care of two different people that is related to you.
I stayed in the hospital with both of them till one of them kicked the bucket, imagine two siblings facing each other in sick beds. After one week , the other one also joined his creator in heaven.
It was not really easy for me to lose two people in a family within one month.
And the next month was my examination, anytime I try to read my books I will start 😭 crying, but thank god that I passed at the end.
- How did you survive that moment? Tell us what you did or did not do
It was not really easy for me, but I survived even though I later lost two of them.
At first I was finding it very hard to take care of them, because sometimes I would have to carry them out of the bed and I was the only that one doing this.
But with time, I was not finding it difficult again, I was now doing it happily, hoping and praying 🙏🏽 that one day my uncle and my aunt will leave the hospital bed.
So the most important thing I did to survive was praying to my God to heal my uncle and my aunt, and I also had hope and I also believed that one day they would get better.
- What your advice for anyone going through a difficult time right now?
If you are going through a difficult time right now , or you are in the hospital taking care of sick patients or your parents, just be strong, pray, and tell them to be strong that everything will be fine.
And most importantly, don’t get angry with them.
And by doing all this, you are going to overcome common it one day.
Thanks for reading my post ❤️
