On this occasion, I invite my Steemit friends @walictd, @memamun, and @radjasalman to participate in the challenge “SLC-S29/W1-Thinking and Ideas!| If You Were in Charge!” in the “Steem4Nigeria” community.

If you were given full authority for one year in your community or country, what is the first issue you would address?

The first issue I would address, if given the opportunity, is education. This is inseparable from my profession as an educator. Issues such as building construction and other matters related to education are very important and challenging. And of course, this would be a particular focus for me, if the opportunity arose.

Moreover, education is a benchmark for a nation. So it is only natural for me to choose this in an opportunity, even if it is only for one year. At the very least, this will lay the foundation for progress in thinking about the importance of education for the generation that will grow up to be responsible in the future.

Why did you choose this issue over others?

Education is a key issue that must be addressed. In the sense that a nation will progress if the quality of its education is better. This is a key factor that greatly supports the progress of a nation, so it is very important to pay attention to it. Quality education will create individuals with more advanced mindsets, which will undoubtedly support a country in becoming a developed nation. This is not only in terms of knowledge and technological mastery, without neglecting the role of science in supporting citizens' activities in the public sphere. Therefore, actions related to education will create a generation that has a mindset about the importance of education in living their lives. Especially for developing countries, the factor of education is very important for the life of the nation and state.

What is that one difficult decision you would have to make?

In implementing a program of activities, there are bound to be obstacles or difficulties. As leaders, we must find solutions to the problems we are facing. There are certainly things that hinder a program. In addition to funding to support a program, there is also support from certain parties, which sometimes requires us to think excessively to find a solution. This plays a very important role in the world of education. Support from all parties for the advancement of education must be considered and supported. This is so that our goals can be achieved in the best possible way. Of course, in the world of education, there are always things that require us to do various things to overcome problems that often arise.

How would you explain this decision to people who disagree with you?

In every movement towards improvement, especially in relation to education, problems will arise that we must resolve. And of course, we must explain clearly the program we are implementing. By providing clear explanations and adopting a positive approach when communicating with those who challenge us, there will inevitably be consequences we must face. Regarding those who do not support us, we can take a persuasive approach, which may lead to actions that could cause problems for our educational programs in the future.

The point is that we must approach people who do not like the program we are running. By approaching them, we can at least give them an understanding of the importance of education. At the very least, this is something we can do to ensure the success of the program we are running.

Thank you to all my Steemit friends who have stopped by my post. Greetings, @muzack1.

The focus you have given to education is truly commendable. Education is the foundation of any nation’s development and it is not just a means of acquiring knowledge but also trains an individual who is responsible, thoughtful and socially active. You have rightly said that if the quality of education improves, the nation will also progress, because educated and skilled individuals play an important role in the scientific, technological and social development of the country. Your plan for improving the education system under one year of leadership is not only constructive but also provides a strong foundation for future generations. There will certainly be difficulties in its path, such as funding issues or lack of full support from some parties, but you have emphasized the importance of adopting the right approach to explain and convince opponents in a clear and positive manner so that the success of the education program is possible. Your thinking also shows that leadership is not just about giving orders but also about explaining people and being transparent and serious at every step. In fact, your vision will not only elevate educational standards but also establish a responsible and progressive society.

Hi @muzack1, welcome to thinking and ideas week 1

My Observation:

Judging from all you said, it seems you are more interested in buildings of the education sector more than its body which is the psychology, philosophy, sociology and history.

I feel these bodies should be the main core of any leader, because nothing can be achieved with a faulty foundation. I love your plan but how to execute it needs more depth.
