A Sick Week, glad to be back|| Diary Game 22nd June 2026

They say health is wealth and it sounds like a sweet rhyme until you fall short in your health, you’ll literally start seeing money fly into places you never believed could be a “bank” of sorts, story time.

On Sunday of the previous week, I had suddenly felt a chill and before I could say “ja” my body began burning up in degrees that could adequately boil an egg to completion. Even as I wondered at the suddenness, I took a bath, ate some food and went to bed. Thus the week kept going while I tried “managing” my health.

Wednesday morning, I woke up better and so I left for the market to make myself a proper meal as I hadn’t eaten anything I really liked in the past few days.

On Thursday morning, I realized my body was shutting down. I either did something or something would do me. I headed straight to a laboratory and ran some tests. Result came back and as I had thought, it was malaria and typhoid.
Nigeria is a tropical nation, and issues of malaria is common to hear of due to the fact that the female anopheles mosquito has quite a comfortable environment to work with. Anyways, back to my story.

By the time the results came back, I was weak and almost loosing strength, my stomach couldn’t keep anything in as everything I ate or tried to eat I’d vomit out.
Immediately I was put on drip.

Before I knew it, money i didn’t know I had started leaving me like water😂 even as I was told that I couldn’t drink water.
As the drip was running, injections were running alongside it.

After about 3 days they deemed me fit and removed the catheter placed in my vein. By then my vein had gone through the worst and was already swollen

My vein is still swollen as I write but I’m greatful to God that I’m alive and well. I see that steemit challenge is going on and I plan to participate in a few and also become active in the different communities I belong to.
