Diary Game 28th April 2026|| A day spent Priming
For the past week, I haven’t felt like writing, not because there aren’t stories to tell, the energy to pen my thoughts has just been missing coupled with the fact that my phone’s front camera stopped working. So I’ve been stuck with taking selfies that I’m beginning to greatly dislike.
But just this morning as I pondered on this precarious situation, it dawned on me that this in itself is a story to share so pardon me if I don’t get the most captivating pictures, my primary device is in limbo.
We’ve been made to feel consciously or subconsciously that storytelling is something that must be perfect, or nearly, so we are always in scout for the perfect storylines, forgetting that our lives simply unfolding is a story.
I have been to the mechanic almost everyday for the past 3 weeks and today is not an exception, but first I must find something suitably comfortable to wear- i dibble dabble and even make a call to a friend to help me choose, but the network providers seem to be against me this morning, well almost everyone as I’ve heard a few complaints about network. Finally I head out of the house and get to the shop, but by now, I’m in the throes of hunger pangs. Make una wait first, make I go chop food.
Once I got back, it was time to start the priming.
Primer is a foundation layer of paint that has been mixed and is sprayed on a car to cover areas that filler has exposed. This is done and allowed to dry before the actual paint is sprayed on the vehicle.

Before, during and after the priming!!
After a while, I became hungry and head back to eat again for the journey I came for is far. The primer has dried up, and it’s time for the main painting to start.
This is the main process, as the painting must be painstakingly supervised. We do this for the next 2 hours, working tirelessly to see if we can be done with the whole painting job today, but alas, the painter protests that we will have to continue tomorrow as night is drawing close fast.
Resigning to the fact that I’ll be going back there tomorrow, I decide to make the best of the situation by taking this picture.
