Diary Game 30th April 2026|| Buffing|| A day that feels unending||

Welcome to another day at the mechanic. At this point, I’m the word beyond exhausted, I’m just glad that our work on this particular vehicle is coming to a good close. An even bigger thumbs up to the owner of the car for his extraordinary patience with us.

Like it or yes, never leave your house without a smile, whatever the day brings!!. I headed out first to get fuel as the one in the car was very low.
On getting to the mechanic shop, they were play arguing about whose car to take to a burial, as the father to one of their colleagues died recently. While this was ongoing, one of the guys spotted a lady and decided to go chyke her. We all watched as the lady shunned him sharply and went her way.

I realized that their bodies had not yet booted for the day. I’d better get breakfast and hopefully when I come back, they’ll be in the right mood to work. Exactly as I predicted, they had all stepped into work mode, and those who hadn’t, were forced to because their customers had come and were making lots of noise about their vehicles not being ready as they were told.

I feel mechanics should be added to the almighty list of creators, because how do they take wreckages like the one in the picture above and still make something meaningful come out of it.
It’s such a marvel to watch.
Next we moved on to the process of buffing. Buffing is a process used to remove scratches no matter how light, and smooth out the imperfections caused by the car paint.

First, something called “donning” is done where the car is washed and sandpapered with a smooth sandpaper. This dims the shine of the paint that is on the car.

Even though the sun is not up, but really, this place is very hot. I removed my jacket so i can properly understand what’s going on with me. My friend noticed and got me a cold bottle of water.
While talking, we noticed this car that had just been filled. A filler covers the fact that the car had an accident or bash that was heavy, so it is filled to make the side of the vehicle that was affected smooth so it can be even with other parts of the body.

My friend complained of a runny stomach and while enroute a restroom, we changed directions and headed to another mechanic shop to check other vehicles there.

Finally returning to our vehicle. The buffing process is still ongoing, but now we have to move to a new location because the sun is too hot and it’s disturbing the guy working.

Time is 3:24pm and we’re done buffing, it’s time to paint the wheels, but the mechanic is just gallivanting around, wasting time. Around past 4pm, I started agitating for him to get started on the wheels as I have church by 5pm. I had to leave the car and head to church s they weren’t done and I was running a bit late.
Church service was explosive as my pastor started a series on “the destroyer of men”
What could that be you may ask?? Simply pride!
I know it’s going to be a very humbling month.

On mu way back, I stopped at a roadside yard sale in search of hair dryer, but it didn’t Dey😁. Time is some minutes to 9pm. It’s been an exploited day already, Onward home.
