How do you want Steemit to be if asked?

Steemit still remained one of the social media platforms that has truly rewarded people constantly
for their creativity, consistency, and engagement.
Unlike some other platforms where creators work hard and still takes a lot of time without earning anything, but Steemit created a space where everyone can earn through writing different topics of interest, commenting on people's content, curating, engagements.

Although a lot of us, still wish for improvements in the platform, I believe that Steemit has done so well these past years and still has the potential to become the best.

Creativity and hard work is rewarded on Steemit

Steemit is a platform where users can get rewarded for posting their original content. Contents ranging from different niches, photography, gaming, education contents, artist, storytelling, just name it, this is a platform where your efforts can never go unnoticed. This is what motivates most people like me to keep writing quality contents. With our economy today where a man cannot make it through one source of income, posting on Steemit is another way of making money from the contents you created, thereby giving the common man financial hope.

A platform where you Learn and grow

Steemit is not a platform where you just come and dump post and get votes. It's also a platform that encourages learning through different communities users improve their writing, communication, and presentation skills. Personally, I have learned a lot from reading quality publications from different people around the world.

The sense of belonging to a community

Another thing you might find interesting are the different communities in the platform. Communities like steem4nigeria where every Nigerian on the platform can connect with one another, share same interest and background, support one another through mentorship, encouragement and engagements. It feels more like family than just a social media site.

If you asked how you would want Steemit to be or change to, what 3 things would they be?

Improved Steem price and reward value

Many users wish that the dollar value displayed on posts were equal to the actual value they receive after payout. Imagine if the market value of Steem improves greatly, even small rewards would be meaningful. A stronger coin value would also attract more investors and users to the platform.

A chat or messaging feature on the Platform

I would love Steemit to have a direct messaging or chat feature. This would make communication easier between users, moderators, curators, and friends. Many times, users need to discuss collaborations or ask questions privately, but they have to move to other social media apps before doing so.

Global meetups and events for Steemit users

Another feature Steemit can introduce is a global meetup, more like an event for steemians around the world. It would be exciting and interesting for Steemians from other countries to connect physically. I know this might be somehow difficult to pull out but it requires a lot of planning and strategy.
These meetups could also help promoting Steemit to new people and strengthen/encourage the sense of unity within the community.

What one thing do you think can be done on Steemit to prevent any case of injustice or favouritism?

I strongly believe that being transparent and fair in platforms like this should be encouraged.
To our curators and moderators in Steemit, quality, consistency, originality, and engagement should be considered when curating a post instead of emotions or sentiments.

Clear standards should be noted, where steemians can understand this and avoid complaints about favouritism, thereby increase trust level.

Yes, I would still vote on your post if the content deserves support. Personal misunderstandings should not affect professional responsibility. As a curator, the main duty is to support quality content fairly.

If a content is original, meaningful, follows community standards, and engaging, then I think it deserves recognition not withstanding the personal issues.
Keeping emotions from responsibility is very important for justice and peace in this platform.

Finally, steemit is a wonderful platform and is loved by many. with many opportunities, but there is always room for improvement. Imagine, if the value of steem increases or equals to $1, a platform based messenger, global meetups and so many others, this would be a wonderful upgrade.

In all, Steemit is still the best because of the opportunities it offers. I believe that unity, fairness, and continuous development, Steemit can become even greater in the future.
