**Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week132: All about Easter celebrations

Easter, as many Christians know, is not only a season of buying new clothes, eating different foods, and probably meeting with other believers to celebrate. To me, it's beyond merriment; it's time to think about our relationship with God. How well are we remembering the sacrifice on the cross?

What does Easter mean to you, why do you celebrate it.

Easter is a time to remember the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made for us on the cross, his death and resurrection. It means a lot to me because he paid the debt that he did not owe just to redeem me from my sin. His death confirms the prophecy of a Messiah that will be born dead to give new life to humanity.

How did you celebrate your Easter this year.

I didn't celebrate it in a big way, like cooking a special meal or going to church, but I remembered that it was a day to think about my life as a Christian. It was a time of revival. As someone who looks forward to the second coming of Christ, it is a time to check my ways and amend where necessary. A time to pray and ask for forgiveness.

What is/was your favorite thing about Easter.

My favorite thing about Easter is knowing that Christ died for a sinner like me. This season is a sober time reading from Scriptures how he suffered and bled, giving me hope of eternal life when he shall come again to take his chosen ones.
Jesus conquered death; give me hope for a new life.There's also a command, which he said we should do this in remembrance of him. This alone makes me love this celebration because it's biblical.
