NoThe Diary Game: Attending My Church Fellowship and Celebration (18/1/2026)
Hello my dear steemians from this prestigious community. I have been missing you. Happy new year to you. This is my first diary for the year in this community. I hope you would like reading it. It was about a church fellowship in my church. What I thought it would be just a gathering, turned out to be a bigger event that left memories in the sands of time. Please stay tuned and read my narrative.
Every first month of the year in my church is designed for a new year fellowship. The idea is to strengthen unity and cooperation among members, like the early church. Preparations were in top gear through the committee formed to handle it. As a minister in charge of the church, I had made significant plan, personally to leave a legacy and make the members feel belonging. So I had to plan the program of event.
The normal sunday service began by 8am with praise and worship to set the tone for the service. I was in charge of that. It was an awesome experience. Although many members didn't arrive on time during this item, the impact it has created could not be forgotten in a hurry.

One item graduated into another: message, offering and communion. Gradually, the house was filled by worshippers. I was excited that the plan was going to work. Visitors also came to worship with us.

By 11am, the first part of the service came to an end. After a short break for interaction, we began the second part, which was the real deal. After an opening remarks by the chairman, planning committee for the event, bro. Ubong Udonta, activities commenced immediately.

The first item that spiced up the event, was a welcome presentation by the youth. I was involved. I sang a bass part. I am a very good singer. I sing all the parts in music but specially I am good in tenor and bass. The musical rhythm was sparkling. I tell you, it made the congregation emotional

Immediately after a welcome song, I set the ball rolling. Games took the floor. The first game for the youth was "a drinking competition". It was titled, "Who Can Drink Faster?" Four contestants were on ground to register for this interesting game. After a fiercely competitive game, Mr. Richard took the first position. He could drink a bottle of coke and snacks within a minute. It was unbelievable.

I, myself was amazed at his speed. I was compelled to find out from him if he had had this experience before. Fun games continued with the married. Two contestants were involved in this game. The wives were asked to mention the best color of their husbands, their best food, the sizes of their trousers and others. It was fun. Sis. Elizabeth took first here .

Yes, it was time for eating. We had cooked enough food to go around everyone including the visitors. I was served first. It actually ate well because I didn't eat at home because I was almost late to church. There was no time.

My afternoon activities were mostly in the church. We spent almost about three hours for an occasion that was supposed to take just an hour. The fun, excitement , the entertainment, all compelled the people to stay that long. Finally, it was over by 3pm.
I came back home by 4pm and then relaxed. When I woke up by 5pm, I went to watch Premier league match as well as AFCON final. This took me till 11pm. I came home to sleep.
That was how the day went. It was replete with joy and happiness, although it took a lot of time. Thank you very much for staying tune to read my diary. Have a nice time

Your church is very interesting and generous, for a very long time I haven't heard of a church that distributed food for it's members and also involve in such interesting activities. I congratulate the winners of the competition.
