Hello, great minds. I'm super excited to participate in this contest titled "What I Think About The Book Reading Culture," and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to @lhorgic for organizing this contest. Here is my entry.

Do you believe that books contain information that can change your life? If yes or no, back up your answer with valid points.

Yes, I believe that books contain all the vital information that can change my life for good, and currently I must say reading books has shaped my life in exceptional ways. Books are like hidden treasures because if you don't open and read them, you will not be able to unveil the knowledge, insights, and experiences that can reshape your perspectives and spark your growth. Let's dive into the reason why books are impactful: reading books expands one's knowledge; books offer expertise and real-life lessons, saving you time and mistakes. Whether it's mastering a skill, understanding history, having good grades, or exploring new ideas, books are gateways. Reading books shifts mindsets and fuels goals. In my own view, I see reading good books as having a mentor guiding you through phases of life. And finally, I would love to add that I am a product of good books, and without books, I wouldn't have gone this far in life, so yes, books are really a life-changing instrument for me.

Have you ever succeeded in completely reading a book you picked up at any point in your life...? If yes, what were some of the lessons learned? If no, what was your challenge?

Yes! I'm the kind of person that doesn't read books and stops halfway, especially if it is interesting, good, and very impactful, I will try my best to complete it no matter how bulky the book may be, and one of the books I read to the end is a book titled WHY YOU ACT THE WAY YOU DO by Tim LaHaye. It was given to me by my elder sister when I was little.

In this book I learned a lot of things about behavior. I learned about my temperament and the temperament of those around me. It taught me how to understand other people's behavior and accept the way they are even when I'm not comfortable with it. Before I read this book, I always hated the behaviors of so many people, especially the loud and noisy ones around me, and never imagined myself making friends or even talking to them because I'm not a lousy type, and I love serene environments, but when I began reading this book, I realized my mistakes. I learned that lousiness is being triggered by a sanguine temperament, and the reason why I'm so quiet is because I'm a phlegmatic type, and so this means I shouldn't judge the way others behave because I wouldn't like them to judge me as well because I thought that those that are quiet are good, decent, and well-mannered people, but it turns out that I was wrong. Every temperament is good, especially when it is well controlled. I'm not currently here with the book because I'm not at home, and most of my books are kept on my shelf at home, but here is how the book looks from the internet.

If you are given an opportunity to recommend a book(s) that has blessed or benefited you, what book would that be?

I have benefited from so many books since I began reading, and here are five solid books I recommend for book lovers.

  • Why you act the way you do by Tim LaHaye

  • Hit That Frog by Brian Tracy

  • Mindset shift to self-thought motivation by Peyton Brooks

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear

  • The Art of Letting Go by Nick Trenton.

Thank you.
