“Life in my city”
So far this year, is there something new in your city you would like to share with us? Fuel increase, price of things, a protest, a robbery, or any other gist.
An increase in the prices of basic goods and services has been the change in my city. Almost everything has gone up, the cost of transportation, fuel, food prices in the market, house rent, and services have all gone up compared to last year. Many people in my city of Port Harcourt are going through financial crises, and they're now managing their finances.
Also, there have been improvements in small businesses as a lot of young people are now starting small shops and online businesses to survive the economic pressure. The situation in my city is very challenging and the people are very resilient and hardworking.
Can you say you have made any progress so far this year? Tell us about it.
Yes, I have made some progress this year. My improvements this year that I have noticed are being consistent in learning and practicing online communities which you can see how active I am now on the Steemit platform. I have been more active on Steemit, pposting and engaging with others this year.
With this, I have improved my confidence, knowledge, and writing skills on different topics. This progress may look small, but I see it as a starting point of achieving something great in life which I am so proud of staying committed.
If you have an opportunity to make your city better what will you do?
Creating more opportunities for young people is the first thing that I will do if I have an opportunity to make my city better. In my city, you will see a lot of young people who have skills and talents to go far in life but the problem is a lack of support and resources to help them develop.
With that being said, I provide my city with skill training, entrepreneurship support, and better education opportunities that would help young people to grow.
Let's say you are given a choice to decide to leave your city for another city better than your current one and would be sponsored or you are given a huge amount of money to stay back in your city, what will be your choice? And why?
Yes, I would choose to stay in my city and invest in it I am giving a huge amount of money because I would use the money to create opportunities that wouldn't be only for myself but for others who are around me.
With a huge amount of money, I can invest in businesses that would enable me to employ people, support my community development projects, and improve the living conditions of people in my community, rather than going to a better city where I would keep on spending money without impacting the lives of others.
