Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 114: A Day in my Life

Hello friends, how are you all doing today? I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day. Today, I will be taking part in the Steem4Nigeria accelerator contest, which is titled: "A Day in my Life"

The year 2025 has been the one year of accomplishment, a year where all my plans have turned out exactly as I expected. I actually ended last year with a chip on my shoulder due to extreme hustle, and ever since I dropped out of college in 2022, I have made it my business to work hard, earn, and save to go back to school because "a penny save, is a penny earn"

For me, all my plans of going back to school were made possible this year, 2025, And regarding how my year has been so far, I really thank God because despite the stress, I do not have any academic issues. Above all, I tend to have more rest compared to last year, and I'm in great shape and good health, and I thank God for all that.

Yeah, the year was worth it, and in fact, even if it wasn't worth it, I would still thank God for life, because "when there's life, there's hope." For me, the year was worth it, and I really like the fact that I'm making good progress with school, which is actually the one thing I needed. Though I really miss my working days when I used to earn a lot of money and live a comfortable life, I gave up everything for school because education is the best investment.

Though this year was mainly about my education, my most remarkable day wasn't about education; rather, it was about family. Yep, in everything we do, family will always come first. So, for me, it had been a while since I went to the village—since January, and I haven't seen my dad ever since.

My most remarkable day was on November 8th. I went to the village very early in the morning, and I got to see my dad and my little brother, Temple. We spent the whole morning and afternoon together. To make things really interesting, it was my senior brother's birthday, so in the evening, I went back to celebrate his birthday.

It was fun. We popped champagne, and we ate and made merry. Nothing special, but for me, it was indeed my most remarkable day of the year 2025 because I got to spend time with my people (family).

The only lessons I learned about that special day were that no matter what we do, we should always try to cherish family time because they're all we've got and the only people who will always stand by us until the very end. Also, there wasn't anything I would change about that day; for me, it was perfect, and I can't wait for Christmas when we'll get to be together again, all of us under one roof as a family.
