The girl sitting by the window stares out at the city. Outside, there is light, noise, and life. But inside her, everything feels still.

When she was young, she had many dreams. She loved to draw, to sing, and to see the world in her own unique way. But as she grew older, people began to teach her otherwise, how to act, how to think, how to be like everyone else. Slowly, she started to change.

One day, she realized that the person she saw in the mirror was no longer who she used to be. She still smiled, but there was no real joy. She still spoke, but her voice didn’t feel like her own. She was present, yet somehow without identity.

That was when she understood, she was becoming invisible.
Not her body, but her dreams had disappeared.
Her desires had faded.
Her courage to live life on her own terms was gone.

Like raindrops slowly sliding down the window glass, her old dreams were quietly being erased. The city remained the same, people remained the same, only she had changed.

She is visible to others, but invisible to herself.

What “Invisible” Means to Me

To me, “Invisible” means losing your true identity. Sometimes, in trying to please others or follow society’s expectations, we bury our real desires and dreams. From the outside, we still exist but inside, we slowly disappear. The girl in this image represents that lost self.

Emotion Behind the Image

This image feels like silent inner conflict. There is no loud expression, no dramatic moment just a deep, quiet struggle within. It reflects the feeling of drifting away from yourself, little by little.

If “Invisible” Were a Color or a Sound

If “Invisible” were a color, it would be a faded blue carrying a sense of distance, emptiness, and quiet loss.

If it were a sound, it would be the distant noise of traffic always there, but rarely noticed. Just like the hidden pain many people carry, unheard and unseen.

This image reminds me that people don’t always disappear suddenly. Sometimes, they fade slowly from within and the saddest part is, no one even notices.
