The economic development of a country cannot be measured only through progress or modern infrastructure. Real development depends on the thinking, character and values ​​of the people of that country. Behind all the problems that society faces, there is an impact of people's decisions and behavior. If someone is given power for a specific period of time, then I think he should work on some issues on which a beautiful and just society will be built in the future.

If you were given full authority for one year in your community or country, what is the first issue you would address?

The country has many problems. It is not possible to solve all my problems if I get power for 1 year. But I want to work on a solution to a problem that will reduce other problems. I want to work on the education system. The problem I want to solve is the deterioration of the quality of education and the lack of moral education. Because the development of a country does not depend only on the economy or technology. It depends on the thinking, values ​​and character of the people of that country. And the main tool for building these values ​​and character is education. Currently, the number of educated people in our country is increasing. But the humanity, responsibility and morality within people are decreasing. There are many students who are constantly achieving good results. But their morality and values ​​are decreasing. The main reason for this is that many of the education in our country are academically oriented, they study only to get good marks in the exams. Many of their educations are incompatible with reality. Therefore, if I get power for a year, I want to reform the education system in such a way that people are not only suitable for good jobs, but also develop into good people.

I have identified this problem among many other problems because I believe that education is the key to solving all problems. If you look at the root of problems like unemployment, corruption, social inequality, violence, drug addiction, etc., you will see that somewhere or the other there is a lack of proper and moral education. A conscious and morally educated person will not get involved in any corruption, will not tolerate injustice, will not forget his responsibility towards the society. Therefore, the development of the education system means solving many problems at once.

What is that one difficult decision you would have to make?

To make this change, I will have to take some difficult and unpopular decisions. First, the old and ineffective education systems will have to be changed. Second, teachers will have to be appointed on the basis of competence and skills, and incompetent teachers, no matter how influential, will have to be removed from their posts. Third, I will include moral education, life skills, critical thinking and human values, responsibility towards society and country in the curriculum. Fourth, life-oriented education and practical education. These educations may create some criticism immediately, but it will bring long-term success to the society.

How would you explain this decision to people who disagree with you?

I will explain to those who do not agree with my decision through patience and tact. I will tell them that this change is not for any person, institution or group, but for the welfare of future generations. If we obstruct this change thinking of short-term benefits today, then we will have to pay the price in the future through our children. Change is never easy but change is essential for development. The bold steps taken in the education system today will lay the foundation for building a conscious, humane and developed nation in the future.

Finally, I would like to say, 1 year may be a very short time but with proper planning, sincerity and bold decisions, the seeds of change of a nation can be planted in this one year. I want this change to start from education. Because we all know that "Education is the backbone of a nation".
