I served two masses on Easter Sunday
There's always three masses on Sundays in my parish (6,7 and 9am) On Easter Sunday I got up from the bed very early in the morning so that I can prepare to serve the first mass of the day just as I mostly do on Sunday mornings. Though I wasn't assigned to serve 6am mass that morning but I went to church to serve the mass because I didn't want any disappointment.
Three persons were assigned to serve the mass and I felt that due to the fact that Easter vigil mass ended almost 12am the previous night I felt that those persons might not wake up early the next morning and serve the 6am mass. When I got to the church in the morning my prediction was right. Two persons didn't attend the 6am mass so I had to serve with the remaining one available and also with one of my executives that came to serve.
After the mass ended I quickly rushed back to the house so that I can eat breakfast before I serve the last mass for that day. I was assigned to serve the 9am mass because we felt like making it a mass for the bigger guys in the association to serve and I'm the president of the association as well. I decided to agree to the plan because it was a nice one and the big guys haven't served in the same mass for a long time.
I tried my best to get back to the church before the second mass for that day will end and I'm glad I successfully finished eating and did few things at home on time then got back to church. When the mass ended the last mass was set to begin. A lot of children and few adults were qualified to receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time in the catholic church that day and I was very happy for them.
The mass started and ended successfully, I really enjoyed serving 9am mass that day and when we were about to remove our vestment and go home 4 of us (we were 5 in number that served) decided to take pictures together. The 5th got busy that's why he couldn't join us. I was happy the mass finally came to an end because I was praying not goes wrong throughout the mass because if such thing happens it will look as if most of us are big for nothing. Christ has risen, alleluia.
