I started the year by attending/serving mass.

Happy new year everyone, the year 2026 is finally here. This year will be better than last year by the grace of God. Today is the first day of 2026 and on a day like this I always ensure that I do two crucial things, serve mass and create a post in steemit. I have already served mass and I just created a post in steemit.

I have been busy since morning but I said to myself that I must create a post in steemit before 11:50pm today. I went to church this morning and met one of my fellow Altar Server and we prepared for the first mass for today together. There were two mass today, the 7am and 9am mass. I wore my vestment and instructed the other Altar Server to take the crucifix and bell to the back of the church which is where we normally processed from to the Altar on a day like this.

Our Reverend father wasn't present that moment because he went to celebrate 6am mass at our outstation so we waited patiently for him. As soon as he came we took his vestments from his car to the back of the church and we wanted to arrange them properly on the decorated table at the back of the church but he insist we shouldn't bother since there's no time that he will just wear them directly.

The mass started few minutes later and there wasn't much people in the church this morning because numerous people have travelled and most people that attended the crossover mass last night decided not to come to church this morning. The mass went very well and it was after the mass that I took the picture you are seeing in this post. This is a picture of some parts of our church compound and from this picture you will notice that the land is very dry.

This is the dry season and everywhere is very hot unlike some countries that's currently cold. I went home after the mass and I ate breakfast and arrange some few things. I decided to study as well since the house was quiet, I guess that was because some persons weren't at home. My mum and sisters were in the church for the 9am mass which was the second and at the same time, last mass for today.

My dad and my brother attended the first mass as well. After studying I did some few stuffs with my phone and after some hours we all ate a very special lunch. It was a very nice experience and I'm grateful to God for all that happened. This year I will make sure that I achieve a lot of things. I have faith that this year will be a very fantastic year.
