Medical Clearance in School

Clearance in school is mostly something that's stressful and I will be talking about the medical aspect of it today. I haven't been active in posting due to some reasons and I believe everything will be fine soon.

I started my medical clearance last month together with four of my coursemates and I think four persons amongst us have concluded the process. The first day we started we all stood in a queue waiting to be attended to and I was happy that I was going to finally start that clearance. We checked our weight, blood pressure and height that day. I was glad my blood pressure wasn't high because I felt there chances of it being high.

It was normal and we also filled some details in our documents. After all these things we went to another office to sign and we were requested to write our address, phone number, name of faculty and so on. We proceeded to the laboratory upstairs so that we can take the urine can but we were told to come another day for it because it has finished for that day.

They often give out 100 cans per day. This was where my coursemates and I who started the medical clearance together separated. We weren't going together anymore because of time factor, we are all different and we can't meet up together for that process. The first time I went there for the can they said it has finished and I really felt bad.

I went there again even when I tried to reach there early I was also told it has finished so I left there disappointed and headed to onef the classrooms in school. I went there very early the third time because I don't want to take chances and the nurse instructed to come back by 11am and the time she made that instruction it wasn't 10am yet.

I boldly told myself that I will remain there till 11am patiently waiting even as my phone was switched off because in such situations I do use my phone to keep myself busy. Other students were also waiting till 11am and when it was 10:40am she decided to give us the cans because we have increased in number. Further instructions were given to us before we received it.

I was very happy that I finally got it that day. We were instructed to urinate in it the next day at about 6am. I kept it in my bag with so much joy in my face. I did exactly what we were instructed to do and the next day I returned the can with two of my documents. The nurse took my blood through my arm and instructed us to come back on Monday for our medical test result. That day was Friday, they don't attend to us for clearance in the weekend that's what she said Monday. I spent the whole weekend hoping the result will be a good one.

To be continued

This medicals' stress. I wonder if it's like this everywhere. I'd assume that the school should have all our information from the very day we are admitted until we graduate and not have to do any clearance again.

It's unlikely for you to have high blood pressure at your age though. Except you have a genetic health condition that causes it to start early.

It emerges from a person's 30s where there are actually exposed to real life stress. What you might face is low blood pressure for one reason or the other.

But I'm glad that you are fine. It's great to have to here again.

Greetings dear, I'm glad to see your comment on my post again.

You forgot I'm in 100 level and I feel in the next two months you will forget that again 😂.

Yeah schools do have the information of students medicals when they do the clearance after being admitted. This is why my school is currently doing it.

I don't any genetic health condition that causes it to start early oo. You aren't saying I have, I'm just trying to let you know i don't.

I'm glad to post again, it really felt refreshing last night.

You forgot I'm in 100 level...

Oh, I suspected this. I had even congratulated you under one post you made sef. But I guess this particular line got me contemplating whether you were no longer in 100 level.

started my medical clearance last month...

Read it like "final-year" clearance. Shey clearance happens during our final-year na.

For the first year, we just call it "Medicals". Guess that's why I got it mixed up.

Now, you've clarified this, I understand the post better.

Yes you did dear.

I'm glad you now understand the post better.
