Gender reveal parties are becoming very common these days. Many people now celebrate the baby’s gender before birth. Some families enjoy this trend while others feel it is unnecessary. Everyone has different thoughts about it. In this post, I will share my honest opinion about gender reveal parties.

Honestly, I don’t fully accept gender reveal parties. I feel it is too much show for something that should stay private between family. Many people do it only for social media likes, not for real happiness. Sometimes these parties go wrong, like fire accidents or loud fireworks that disturb others. I believe celebrating baby is beautiful, but we don’t need a big function to show it to world. Simple happiness is enough. Some people feel pressure to follow this trend when they don’t have enough money. I believe a small moment with close family is more peaceful and has real feelings.

No, I don’t think everyone should adopt this trend. Every family has different thinking, different financial condition and different comfort level. Forcing everyone to do gender reveal makes life stressful. Some people only copy others to look modern but inside they don’t feel comfortable. Many families don’t like showing everything on social media. In my thought some people save money for baby instead of spending on a short party.

I think people should do only what feels right in their heart not what society is doing. Happiness of the baby is more important than a trending party. So no, it should never be a must for everyone.

◉How safe is this trend considering the society we live in.

To be honest, this trend is not very safe. Many gender reveal parties use smoke, fireworks, balloons, loud sounds and sometimes they cause accidents. I have seen videos where fire started in fields or houses just because someone wanted colourful smoke. Also in our society, security is always a concern. Big gatherings attract unwanted attention. Some people don’t feel safe posting baby news online before birth. The environment suffers because of plastic balloons and smoke colours.

So I feel we must think carefully before doing this. Safety should be our priority. Little mistake can make big problems. So this trend is not fully safe for everyone.

My general thought is very simple and clear. Gender reveal party is not bad but it should be meaningful not for show. If someone want to do it he should keep it small, safe and from the heart. No need for fireworks or dangerous things. Just a peaceful moment with close people is enough.

My advice is do not follow to trend blindly. First think about your budget, your safety and your own comfort. If this make you happy then do it in simple and sweet way. But if you feel pressure, then skip it. Baby’s health and family’s peace is more important than any colorful smoke.
