Family is the most important part of life. In every family, mother and father both play big role. But in our society, I see mothers are more celebrated than fathers. This made me think many times. Both do sacrifices in different ways. In this post, I want to share my simple thoughts and real life feelings about this topic.

In my words women and mothers are more celebrated because their role is very visible and emotional. A mother carries child for nine months. She feels pain. She sacrifices her sleep, her comfort, even her own wishes. People see this closely. That is why they feel more emotional connection with mothers. In my own life I see this daily. My wife take care of kids all day. She remember small things. What child eat, what he like, when he sleep. I sometimes forget things but she never forget. So naturally people appreciate this more. Also society shows mothers in emotional way. Movies, dramas, stories all show mother love very strong. So it becomes normal to celebrate them more. But it does not mean fathers do less.

Fathers also work hard. No matter there is winter or summer. They go outside, face problems, earn for family. But their struggle is not always seen. It is silent.
So mothers are more celebrated because their love and sacrifice is more visible. It touches heart quickly.

Yes, there are some celebrations for men but they are not very strong like mothers day. For example we have Father’s Day. But honestly, it is not celebrated with same energy. In my home, we once tried to celebrate Father’s Day. My kids made small cards for me. My son draw heart and write I love you Baba. It was very simple but it touched my heart deeply. No big party, no gifts, just small love. In my country, mostly people don’t focus much on men celebrations. Men are expected to be strong. They work, they provide and that is it. No one talks much about their feelings. Sometimes in schools, children make cards for fathers. But it is not very common everywhere. I feel that men are appreciated in silent ways. Like respect. When family depends on father that is also kind of honor.

So yes, there are small celebrations. But they are simple and not very loud like mothers celebrations.

Honestly speaking 🗣️ I am not fully satisfied. I feel both should be celebrated. Mother and father both are important. One cannot replace other. In my life I see both roles clearly. My wife take care of home and kids. I go outside, work hard, face tension. Sometimes I come home tired, but still try to smile for my kids. These things also matter. Men also have emotions but they hide it. Society expect them to be strong always. That is why they are not celebrated much.

I think men should be included more. Not to compete with mothers but to balance respect. When children learn to appreciate both parents, family become stronger. Even small things matter. Like saying thank you papa giving time, showing respect. It can change feeling of father.
So yes, both should be celebrated equally. Because both sacrifice in different ways. And both deserve love.
