From grass to grace
A long long time ago in a village called ike in Abuja, Nigeria there lived an old woman.
She was very poor and almost had nothing to eat, but one thing gave her strength, this is the fact that she had dozens of hard working children.
So one day, she walked one, two, three, and slowly to the king of ike village. As soon as she reached the kings palace, the village guardsman refused to let her in. She paused and thought of what to do, she then decided to beg the guardsman to let her in just to see the king that she had something very important to tell the king.
After a while the guardsman let her in.

A long long time ago in a town to my palace?. she replied my name is ikoma, I lost my husband 7 years ago and he left me with dozens of children to take care of, the woman answered. When the king asked her what she wanted him to help her do she didn't ask for money rather she begged for a small portion of farmland for her to grow crops and take care of her children.The king agreed only on the condition that she will have to work very hard on the land. She agreed .
And after that the woman got to her house and explained to her children the outcome of her journey.
One month later, the king sent one of his guardsmen to show the woman a little portion of land at the village outskirt. She thanked the guard and left. The woman and her children started working on the farm they next day, they had decided to work to the best of their strength to transform their poor family to a good wealthy one. After clearing the farm and making it suitable for planting, they planted crops like potatoes, yam, tomatoes, and groundnut.
After 9 month, the crops were ready to be harvested they sold some and brought some home for consumption. After the sales they had enough money to purchase another portion in addition to what they had already. After 5 years they had a very big farm. today they are one of the wealthiest farmers in ike.
