I hope you all are good and doing well. First of all I would like to congratulate @ninapanda for being selected as contest organiser in SLC-S28. Today I'm here to be a part of this amazing contest "SLC-S28/W1-"Local Taste, Global Twist!"| Creative Breakfast Challenge!"

Share your before-and-after dish (original + global twist) you can add the processes and give the name and origin of your local breakfast.

This is simple dough that we use to make paratha at breakfast. For today's contest I give it a twist and stuffed it with pizza filling that is Italian oriented, so my local recipe paratha with pizza filling twist now becomes Pizza Paratha. Lets move towards the recipe.

Pizza Paratha

Ingredients :

Boild chicken
Capsicum chopped
Onion chopped
Cheese slices
Salt
Black pepper
Red chilli powder
Oregano

Making :

  • Shredded the boiled chicken and add all spices in it.

  • make small two balls from dough and roll them to make paratha of equal sizes.

  • Spread shredded chicken on bread , chopped Capsicum and chopped onion and cheese evenly over rolled bread.

  • Cover other rolled bread over this filling and seal its edges by pressing it and cook it on low flame and fry with oil until golden colour.

  • paratha should be cooked on low medium flame until golden from both sides. As this paratha is stuffed

What global element or idea did you add to give it a twist?

In Pakistan cuisine we have stuffed paratha. So we make different parathas with different fillings and enjoy them with different sauce. These parathas can be make with different stuffs and spices of some ones choices. Popular stuffed bread are potato, mince , daal, veggies etc. So I used pizza filling and spices to give it global twist and my simple paratha twisted to pizza paratha.

How did the new version taste or look compared to the original?

The pizza paratha is very delicious and more nutritious than original paratha. Its has chicken, veggies and cheese. The taste of Oregano give it unique pizza flavour. Occasionally this new pizza paratha is perfect to enjoy. It doesn't mean paratha is not delicious but new version becomes a new recipe for my family. Literally all parathas finished in few minutes. I make for all but they were not satisfied their complete hunger. Next time I'll make in double quantity.

What inspired your creativity in this dish?

Today morning my husband bough cheese on my daughter's demand. She loved cheese and often i make cheese filled paratha for her. My husband also love cheese paratha but they don't eat cheese paratha daily. On weekends they demand for cheese paratha and i make for them. So when he bought cheese, pizza comes in my mind and i decided to make paratha with cheese and puzza filling that we enjoyed with ketchup.

Wow, it looks so delicious. Your paratha is even more delicious than mine because it has cheese in it. I shared a very easy paratha recipe with you guys because it is very famous in Pakistan and many Pakistanis enjoy this breakfast very much. But your breakfast is a different breakfast. I found your paratha very delicious. I will definitely make it for my children at home like this. I hope we like it too. Best of luck mam lots of love 🥰

Me encanta tu creatividad, es maravilloso como un desayuno tradicional puede convertirse en una obra de arte, además el relleno de pizza imagino que le da un plus, espero que tu hija haya amado esta forma de comer paratha.
