I will share the review of the movie The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. This movie is very beautiful. The main story of the movie is about the beautiful intelligence and efforts of a boy in a small village in Africa. The village is shown at the beginning of this movie. Then William and his small family are shown. Today William will go to school wearing a new dress. His father was very happy to see him wearing the new dress. They are very poor. But their father tries to teach his children. At the end of this beautiful scene, William and his friend are shown going to school. When school ends, their school science teacher calls him. And says that he has not paid his salary for many months. If he does not pay soon, he will be expelled from this school.

They did not have money to light the lights in William's house. That is why William could not do all his school homework during the day. Because he worked with his father on the farm most of the time. Because of this, most of the time his results in the exams are worse. Since childhood, he has a strong interest in electronic things. He could fix small things. And for these, he would take money from the villagers and help his family a little. One day, he went to a garbage dump with his friend. There he found batteries, ceiling fans, etc. The batteries were good, but they were not searchable, so he brought them home. Like every day, he was returning home after hanging out with his friends at night.

That's when he saw his sister talking to their science teacher and secretly. He understood everything that they were secretly in love. That's why he left in the morning to break the sir's bicycle. But he didn't have the courage after leaving. Then he noticed the bicycle's headlight. He thought that would steal the day. With the help of which he could do something. Then it was shown that a forest in their village was being cut down. Due to which their village had never had a flood. And after the trees there were cut down, there was a lot of flooding in their village. As a result, the crops of every person in their village were completely destroyed. Meanwhile, when everything was fixed, drought began. As a result, they were unable to produce crops again.

The school principal expelled him from school because he had not paid his school fees for a long time. But he was trying to do something by reading books. He wanted to install a cesspool in his village. For this, he talked to the science teacher. And blackmailed him. Then he took advantage of this and started reading books in the library. There he got a fear of electrical subjects. One day while studying in the library, their principal saw him. And forbade him from coming near the school. Meanwhile, due to the situation in their village, the crops were very low. Which would last them for a few months. For this, his father sold some tin cans from the house. With which he planned to buy some more food. And due to the low crop production, the government doubled the price of food.

For this reason, almost many people in the village went to protest against it. Then William's father also went with them. Then it was shown that two trucks were coming towards their village with food. They took the food to the godown. And all the people of the village ran with various things to get food. But as a human being, the food was very low, so they closed the godown. That's why William and some people went inside the godown and took some food. But they couldn't get out. Because if they went out, others would take the food from them. Meanwhile, since William and his father were not at home, several people forcibly took the food they had stored. Then William and the others cut a tin in the back and got out.

Then everyone who went to the protest returns to the village. And they see that the village is in a very bad condition. Everyone is fighting for food. At night, they sit with food and think about what to do. Because this food is not enough for all of them. So they think about one meal. But his father does not eat and feeds his children. Meanwhile, William leaves some food for his pet dog. Which his father catches one day and scolds him. Then he blackmails his sister and asks for the dynamo of the science teacher's bicycle. And when his sister brings it to him, he starts researching with his friends. One day, his sister runs away with the science teacher. Because there is such a shortage of food, she makes arrangements so that her family can eat their share of food.

Then William makes a small turbine model with his friends. Which he tells his father about everything. But his father misunderstands him. And to do this work, he wants his father's bicycle. Through which he wants to make a big turbine. Then it is shown that many people in their village are dying. And his dog also dies. For this, his father gave him his bicycle. And with the help of the villagers and his own father, he built a very big turbine in the village. As a result, electricity is generated with the wind and water comes from the ground. And seeing this, everyone becomes very happy and can grow crops beautifully. As a result, they can grow crops even during drought. Since then, they have been living a very good life.

What new perspective or culture did this movie introduce you to?

This movie introduced me to many new perspectives. But most of all, it introduced me to the boy's beautiful intelligence and willpower. The boy did a lot of great things with his own efforts. That boy constantly tried to save his village and the people of his village from famine. And in the end, he was able to do that successfully. This movie introduced me to a new perspective that a person can do anything if he wants to.

Were there any stereotypes challenged or broken in the film?

Many stereotypes have been broken in this film. Especially the fact that the people of the village cannot do anything has been broken first. Everyone here thinks that nothing can be improved in such villages. But in this movie, the little boy has broken it by using his willpower and his intelligence well. And I liked all this very much. I have understood very well how much is possible if people want it.

Which character's journey did you relate to the most?

I liked William's character the most in this movie. I related to this character's journey the most while watching the movie. Because in this character, William uses his intelligence to save the entire village and the people of the village. I really liked seeing his intelligence like that. The way he fought from the beginning to the end was very beautiful. I was absolutely fascinated by all of this.

What’s one message from the film that stuck with you?

The message of intelligence and effort in this film is the one that sticks out the most in my mind. Because I really liked the way he saved his village from famine with the help of his intelligence. His fight from start to finish was very beautiful. He never stopped. He worked very carefully and made the turbine. And at the end, his father also helped him, and so did the villagers. The message that a person can do so much through effort and intelligence is the one that sticks out the most in my mind.
