Powering up STEEM is the process of converting your liquid STEEM tokens into STEEM Power (SP), which gives you and me more influence and rewards on the Steemit platform, this is everything you need to know when powering up your steem to become a steem power
How I Power Up my STEEM
• I Log In by visiting steemit.com and sign in to your account.
• I Access my wallet by click on my profile picture and selected "Wallet" to view my STEEM balance.
• By Clicking "Power Up": I find the button labeled "Power Up" or "Convert to SP."
• I enter the amount of steem I wanted to power up, I type the exact amount of STEEM I want to convert which was 42.912
• I confirm the transaction by reviewing the details and i confirm it, the process is free and happens instantly.
Why Power Up
Higher Rewards: steem power increases the voting power, meaning you and I will earn more curation rewards.
Stronger Influence: more steem power makes our votes and posts more valuable in the Steem ecosystem.
It also support the network by powering up, it will help secure and stabilize the Steem blockchain.
Important Things to Know
The lock up period: when once you and I powered up, STEEM is locked as steem power for weeks, after this period, you can start a "Power Down" to withdraw it gradually over some weekly payments.
There is no reversals: which you and i cannot cancel a power-up, so always double-check the amount before confirming it.
Long term growth: Powering up is always the best for users who want to maximize their earnings and engagement over time.
