My First Month on Steemit: Surprises, Struggles, Mistake and Wins

When I first joined steemit, I didn't know much about what the call blogging or anything like cryptocurrency, I just wanted to share my thoughts with wisdom and maybe earn some money, here's my story in simple english.

Me getting started:-
I created my account and wrote my first post by introducing myself, I talked about where I'm from in Nigeria and my hobbies. At first, only a few people saw it, but I didn't give up, I learned that good titles matter: "A Diary game 21 October 2025 My daily hustle this got me more views than "My First Post."
Pictures help: When I added photos of me at work, more people upvoted.

My Mistakes:-
I made some errors early on:
I posted once and waited for results nothing happened.
I didn’t comment on others’ posts, so no one noticed me.
I used boring tags like #blog instead of #nigeria or #africa.

What Changed?
After two weeks, I tried something new:
I posted regularly (3 times a week).
I talked to other Steemians by commenting and replying.
I wrote about things I love, like nigerian food and local festivals with mostly diary game

My First Reward:-
One day, I woke up and saw 5.something steem in my wallet and 5.something in steem power up It wasn’t much, but it made me very happy, my post fist post that has the highest amount of steem was about " building a strong carparj with stone base.

What I Learned:-
To be patient is very good because success doesn’t come overnight.
Me also engaging with other Steemian because Steemit is a community.
Me writing what i know because people enjoy real stories, now, I’m still learning a lot, but I’m excited to keep growing on Steemit, If you’re new, don’t be afraid to start because time wait for no one!!!
