A Dream that I carry Quietly

Share a personal dream with us. Just be real in your writing (life, career, family, society, or nation)

My dream is simple for me to share with others, but heavy for me to carry. I want a life where my work matters, my family is secure, and my society especially my village is better because I showed up fully not halfway, not afraid, not silent.

I dream of building a career that not only pays my bills but also creates value. A career where my ideas help people to think, learn, or heal in small but real ways. I do not want success that is loud yet empty; all I want is impact that is quiet but lasting.

Alongside that, I dream of a family rooted in love, peace, and honesty, one where children feel safe, partners grow together, and home feels like rest, not pressure. Outside my own home, I dream of a society that works: where the young who are vibrant are not crushed by unemployment, where effort is rewarded, and where hope is not treated like a foolish thing.

Why is this dream important to you?

This dream is important to me because I have seen the opposite too closely. I have seen people work hard and still struggle. I have seen talents wasted because opportunities were missing. I have seen families in my community and other places that I have been to survive but not truly love. Once you see these things, it's hard to unsee them. My dream is my quiet rebellion against that reality. It is my way of saying, things can be better, and I really want to be part of that matter someone who wants to bring positive change to her community.

What challenges are standing in the way between you and your dream?

The challenges that are standing in the way of me and my dream are many. I have come to understand that life doesn't move in straight lines. Sometimes effort doesn't bring immediate results. Fear creeps in dear of falling, fear of starting late, fear of not being enough.

Also, financial constraints, self-doubt, distractions, and the constant pressure to compare my journey with that of others whom seen to be ahead of me. Another of my biggest challenges is staying consistent when motivation fades.

What are you doing (or hope to do) to achieve this big dream?

I am seriously learning to be patient with myself while still being disciplined. I am choosing growth over comfort, even when it is uncomfortable for me. I try to improve my skills, widen my thinking, and stay curious. I invest in learning more through reading, writing, listening, and observing life closely. Also, I am learning to ask for help, something pride once made difficult. Finally, I am working on my mindset: choosing hope over cynicism, progress over perfection, and action over complaint.
