Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 140: Just Broken, Not Dead.
Welcome friend!
What's something that happened to you and felt impossible to get through but you did?
The something that happened to me that I felt impossible to get through but I did was when my phone just went blank like that which I thought would be impossible for me to get a new phone but things were so difficult for me then.
Then I had no money and my smartphone got spoilt while preparing to write exams that would even make me travel. I think a lot of what to do to get a new smartphone which I felt impossible to get through the loss of my phone.
After some weeks of staying idle without a phone, someone whom I now cherish so much approached me and noticed how unhappy I was, and decided to support me to get a new phone which I added my savings to what he gave to me and bought a new brand smartphone.
How has this tough time changed what you value most?
Before I used to value material things a lot especially gadgets which the tough times changed how I used to value materialistic items a lot because I got to know that anytime gadgets or material items can just stay like that and get spoiled and it is not good for someone to over hyped material things.
What's a small win you've had recently that felt huge?
The small win I have had recently that felt huge is passing JAMB with a good score and getting a new job.
Immediately after writing JAMB I went into job hunting and thank God I got a job in Abuja where I am working, so I can raise money for my studies. These two wins are huge to me.
What's a new perspective you've gained on life or yourself?
The new perspective that I have gained is that growth does not always come from success. A lot of the most important life lessons come from challenges, mistakes, disappointment, and unexpected changes.
I have learned that difficult moments often reveal our strengths, teach us about patience, and help us to understand what truly matters. Also, progress is a gradual process which I have also learned in life.
Is it really true that "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"? Why?
Life is full of difficulties which are seen as opportunities for growth, but growth is not automatic as it depends on our attitude, support system, and the willingness for us to keep moving forward.
Challenges are capable of strengthening us by teaching us valuable lessons and building resilience, but true strength is the strength that comes from how we process and overcome those challenges rather than from hardship itself. With this I can say that the state "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger is partially true.
